A tiny bit more expensive than Aldi but the food is much much better quality and it also lasts longer. Because there is no piped music or loud audio system it has a calming feel. Terrible idea of getting rid of so many checkouts and losing the fishmongers but the place is still head and shoulders above the other supermarkets nearby.

Good: lots of self-service tills so can get out quickly; far better stock control than Lewes Road. Bad: closes at 8pm, in the middle of a busy city one hour outside of London. Yes, 8pm. Deserted former mining towns up north have Sainsbury's with longer opening hours.

Have to say the staffs in this supermarket are the WORST in the UK. As an Asian, EVERY TIME I go to this supermarket, the staff there are humiliating me in public and makes me feel they do it on purpose. No matter how convenience to go there from my flat, I will not come to this particular Sainsbury’s again.

I've used this store for a long time, it's handy for the the station, well stocked, the staff are friendly and it has free parking. However now they are under staffed, having usually only one till open ( with a long queue) expecting everyone to self serve. This just doesn't work for anyone doing a large shop, I tried it the self serve tills cant cope with a large number of items. If Aldi can' afford to employ checkout staff why can't Sainsbury's ? Moaning here as it seen difficult to do on Sainsbury's web site

.Hot food counter, I see people everyday going over to see what's on display to be left disappointed, yet they keep the sushi stand fully stocked all the time. Reason being apparently from the staff is that the hot food stand isn't profitable enough 😩

It's horrible. Always running out of stuff. Crisps often not quite fresh. Ready to eat Avocados like rocks. Staff usually seem fed up and they like to stand around while the queues reach epic length.
