We applied for a marriage visitor visa with SABZ. I honestly have no idea how this firm has received so many 5 star reviews, but based on the poor reviews I see others have likewise had a terrible experience.
First, we had a free consultation session with someone who wasn't a legal expert (there was a disclaimer) and discussed some very promising options. Upfront FULL payment was required before we could proceed. We later learned only during the actual lawyer consultation session that some of these options were unfeasible given our circumstances. We would've reconsidered engaging SABZ had we known, and it doesn't seem very ethical to be baiting clients like this.
The new firm we later went with got us to sign an agreement after an initial consult directly with the lawyer, but collected payment only after services and the full application had been satisfactorily delivered.
Second, apart from one consultation session with a lawyer, everything else pertaining to our application seemed to have been handled by our nice enough but grossly incompetent case worker. We had to copyedit our letter of representation ourselves multiple times for countless basic grammatical and factual errors (all documentation had already been provided), and it took about 5-6 corrections before the case worker finally got my name right.
We later realized that SABZ's letter of representation was a downright joke after seeing the letter our new firm prepared for our new application. Furthermore, with the new firm, our primary point of contact on all matters was the lawyer, not a case worker, and he was always available to address any question we had, big or small.
Third, a marriage visitor visa should've been simple and straightforward enough, even given our circumstances at the time. After the application was rejected, SABZ, via our case worker no less, had the cheek to ask for another payment for a reapplication, without a remotely cogent plan for how to address the points of refusal (and this was after we asked). Utterly disgraceful, and we almost felt sorry for our case worker being so out of their depth.
With the other firm we later engaged, our first fiance visa application was successful right off the bat. Our lawyer clearly knew what he was doing and in this letter of representation he decisively countered all points of refusal from the earlier failed marriage visitor visa application in quite a tour de force.
Our experience with SABZ was downright awful and felt like a complete rip-off - as if the firm was more interested in earning legal fees than in doing a proper job to give our application the best chance of success. It's not right to take advantage of clients' lack of experience and understanding about how the immigration industry works when that's precisely what we're paying for you to help us with.
It may well be that only a handful of clients have had a bad experience with SABZ compared to the majority (though I highly doubt it). But having tried SABZ and failed before succeeding with another firm, my personal advice is to PLEASE save your time, money and hope and go elsewhere.
