This hotel is simply amazing, it is more than a place to rest, it is an experience in relaxation and service. Rydges Newcastle is rich in history, boasts one of the most convenient and beautiful locations in the city, and it employs some of the most amazing people in the customer service industry. From the front desk to the concierge to the food service staff, each team member goes above and beyond to provide the attention to detail service one would expect from a luxury hotel. Thank you Rydges for a memorable and special inaugural Australian experience. You will be the only choice for all future stays.

Great rooms and food. A light was flickering in our room so when we were going past reception mentioned it to staff. The staff member advised they would get on it right away but the light bulb was never changed. Considering that was the only problem our entire stay the hotel easily gets 5 stars from me

We loved our stay last week. The staff are just incredible and are more than happy to meet guests needs. The location is absolutely perfect and accessible to anything that you might need. There is dining and a bar on-site which was fabulous. Unfortunately the room we stayed in was very tired. Tiles cracked in the dated bathroom, the walls and skirtings are badly scuffed and beside lights would flick off and on through the night, scaring the daylights out of me. In saying this, we will happily return as the views and staff were second to none.

Staff very helpful. Room large with spectacular views of harbour. Quick lifts Great access for walk along water front to beaches, restaurants and to light rail. Only downsides were the mega corridor 170 steps long but staff reallocated room without fuss. No valet parking , underground parking tricky to access and if miss the turn in you need a cut lunch to get back to it due to road works one way system etc. Definitely would book again.
