One of the loudest libraries I've ever used. Constant chat, not hushed chat either, from both visitors and staff. Came in to work on an assessment as it is directly across from my children's school which meant I could spend the entire day writing. Waste of time! Almost impossible to concentrate with the constant noise. Gave 2 stars as my kids like the library and they do have some great activities at times for children and the local schools....but, if you are looking for a quiet library to work in, this is NOT it!

I have been coming to Royston library for over 20 years, there have been many changes (i.e. different events , renovations etc) but the friendly warm environment is still present.
