Head injury on a Friday night. Looked after brilliantly by fantastic, caring under pressure staff

Ward 7CC respiratory. What can I say, a dog would be treated better in the street than patients are on this ward. Family member is diabetic and is frequently being left without food at meal times. A food voucher is no use when the patient can't mobilise alone, and visit times are very strict, not to mention limited. Patient is afraid to ask for pain relief or assistance to the bathroom as the nursing staff were complaining about having to do this. The staff will sit at the nurses station and listen to phone ring (all day) no updates to family members or next of kin have been followed through. Staff members will also hang up the phone IF you are lucky enough to get through. Strict instructions were left not to discuss any news with our family member, as the patient has a brain injury and has took the latest diagnosis news badly..Staff obviously did not check care plans and discussed life expectancy with patient. Our family member has since been upset by this news and refusing to eat. I put a complaint in about this and again, no follow up from the sister in charge, I feel sorry for anyone else that has to deal with the staff here, not acceptable!

Waiting time of 6 hours to see a doctor with one other person in the waiting area is far from acceptable

Better not to get sick and come here. Better to gain patience, come here and wait. From my experience today, I'm basically disappointed with the review portion of Google for not having choice of giving 0. I haven't felt hospitality in the country with reputed heath system. Waited for 10+ hours now for getting a report of my friend complaints of discomfort. Time is still running even after asking them for the report and the staffs were not even considering us.
