I have just had Day surgery at ERI. I was so impressed. The whole team set up was impressive and the staff so helpful and friendly and they seemed to manage to smile through a busy demanding day! Many thanks to one and all and to the consultant who has given me Marlyn Monroe legs again- well, almost! Well they’re alive and working!

5/ 5

The friendliness of the staff was such a welcome surprise, as I had to bring my wife after calling down circular stone stairs. No one wants to end up in the ER (minor injuries unit for us), but these folks made it as pleasant and smooth as possible. Americans trash the NHS, but I've never experienced more caring and legitimately concerned staff at a hospital in the states. We got in and out, with X-Rays and an assessment, in just over two hours. Faster than the US! While I was responsible by purchasing travel insurance for any charge, we were not charged, even with being given crutches to take with us. We are forever grateful to the incredibly kind staff, and the people of the United Kingdom, for providing quality care, wrongly maligned by my fellow Americans.

Horrible miscarriage treatment at the Ward 210 on Monday night. The doctor was super lazy, arrogant and dismissive. She - conveniently - thought that I don’t need any care or reassurance because I was not bleeding to death! I had to wait 3 hours and I got no examination, no advice, no sympathy. Absolutely nothing!!!! I went home and was crying for 2 hours. I am utterly disgusted! !!! I get upset every time I recall this experience. It was my second miscarriage. I hope I will be lucky enough to never be in the need of these people again. ( For obvious reasons I don’t use my real name)

Very well looked after in the Royal Infirmary over the last couple of days. A big thank you to all the staff in A&E. I would say NHS should consider food therapy along with modern medicine. Senseless giving someone acidic food and an antacid. I'm assuming whoever is in charge of budgeting is responsible. Consider this, if a larger budget was dedicated to food therapy money would bbe saved on drugs and man hours.

Thank you so much to everyone at day case surgery yesterday. The care was fantastic and the staff amazing. My surgeon, Dr Alex Rice and my anaesthetist (Rachel ?) were fantastic. They explained everything so well and made me feel very safe. The nursing staff, especially Susan and Rees, were great. The lovely domestic guy, who’s name I didn’t catch, kept giving me water, tea, coffee and soup and was lovely. So impressed and many many thanks.

I was a patient in ward 105 from the 22nd December till the 25th December and received brilliant care from all of the staff who were under tremendous pressure. Also a huge debt of gratitude to Mrs Burns (Surgeon) and all the theatre staff who were absolutely brilliant 👏

My 16 year old son went to the A&E department at 3am on Thursday. He was diagnosed with appendicitis within 6 hours which is slower than the "targets" but we were both very happy with the level of service, professionalism and care that he received. We both couldn't believe how busy the department was and the general interest each member of staff had on the patients. He had a successful operation that night and I received two telephone calls to keep me updated on his progress and his general well-being one immediately after he regained consciousness and the other the following morning. We both feel very fortunate to have the NHS looking after us Colin
