Royal Derby Hospital : Kings Treatment Centre derby

I had a laparoscopic cholecystectomy here in the day surgery unit. I'd never had an op using general anaesthetic before and was a little apprehensive. I needn't have worried. The whole experience from start to finish was brilliant. All the staff I encountered from the receptionist to my surgeon were friendly and efficient. The anaesthetic room team were particularly good at keeping u chatting and distracted. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend treatment here. Thank you for looking after me.

From start to finish (12hrs in total) i was looked after and supported by the day surgery staff. From the lovely , smiley receptionist to the friendly, funny nurse who did my assessment to the surgeon who added me to his list as my original one was off ill, he came to see me and speak about the procedure . To the caring porter Kev who tried to settle my nerves as i walked down to main theatre. The anesthetist was calming and friendly and made me feel at ease. The after care was outstanding. The nurses were so attentive and caring and ensured i was comfortable even had a heated blanket due to being cold. I was offered food and drinks many times Nothing was an issue. Amazing caring and supportive staff who made my experience of having my first operation relaxing as much as they could.

Wow what a place great staff 5stars and more really looked after me and my hand operation went really well and they helped me when my anxiety got the better of me thank you to miss brown who was my surgeon and the lady that was doing my anathestic she was brilliant and to the lady who held my hand the whole way through even played Olly Murs whilst I was having the opportunity awake

Very helpful staff in the Pulvatas Hand Clinic. Special thanks to the Surgeons and Theater staff who operated on my finger. Not to mention Cassie in the Occupational Therapy Dept and those staff.

Many thanks to all concerned for stiching up my mangled finger. Absolutely first class treatment, the Pulvatas clinic is something Derby should be proud of!
