This is a great hospital and I have only ever had one negative experience here (it was a big one though) but other this the hospital as a whole is superb and for the most part my preferred hospital. The biggest problem is the parking facilities, it can take anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour to find a parking space. And when you do find a space it is expensive. They built this great hospital and gave very little thought to the car parking areas, which is nuts really. I do believe that there is a park and ride system, although I have never tried it. The hospital has great facilities, plenty of wards, specialists, equipment, stores for patients and visitors, a good reception area. It is well maintained, clean, easy to get to, has all the facilities for any condition. The staff are mostly excellent, I have only come across a few less than average staff members. But to be fair you have these types everywhere. I would recommend this hospital as despite the few negatives they really are very good, far better than other hospitals in Derby or Nottingham.

Massive thank you to the staff on the labour and birthing suites for the safe delivery of our boy; Rupert. Complications meant that staff had to work extra hard to help my wife but everything worked out amazingly. In particular Joseph the doctor who helped. Special thanks also goes to the staff on ward 314, caring, informative, professional and helpful.

This hospital has a M&S, Costa Coffee and Starbucks and more food and drink options inside. It’s full of friendly staff. Plenty of parking options too, was able to find a space straight away, reasonably priced and free if you leave within 30 minutes, there are also free drop off and pickup spaces at the front.

My parents were treated diabolical today its about time people respected the elderly . Well daughter it was abit of a let down. When we first arrived we were sent to the X Ray department…. And they were very pleasant and helpful, then we went to orthopaedic outpatient department. Well this bloke who was very loud, stood about 7 foot tall no eye contact, no opening pleasantries! Says (looking at the X-ray ‘ this happened a week ago? … ‘Well it’s going to be painful… very uncomfortable! Especially laying in bed! Blah blah blah it will be at least 4 weeks before it will feel any better… you will need physiotherapists…. I will get that sorted now!!! Walks out of room! Gone😳🤔7 or 8 minutes later this nurse comes to the door asks what are we waiting for ?? Christmas may be ?? 😵‍💫😬 I ask my dad ,does she not need a cast on ? In which he replies who knows ?nobody really spoke to us . One word ....DISGUSTING!. I have told them to complain and take it further but i know they wont and i think you knew that too.

I was an outpatient at the hospital yesterday. All of the staff I came into contact with (and I must have been in contact with about 15 members of staff) were tremendously kind and helpful. Very grateful for our NHS.

I would like to say that I am really impressed with the Nuclear Medicine Department. I attended twice on a Saturday morning and the following Saturday for a sechat scan. On all three appointments I was called in exactly on my appointments times. The staff were all very friendly and polite. I was in and out of the hospital within 30 mins. Thank you to the team. Please pass this message on to them.
