Royal Day Spa – newcastle

Quite disappointing. Purchased a package that claimed to be 3 hours of total indulgence for $399. Had expectations based on many experiences at other quality spas and was very much looking forward to it. I was in and out in 2.5 hours, tops.Package included a full size product based on therapist recommendations for skin type and ended up being a satchel of bath salts! Quickest pedicure ever and wanted an additional $20 for shellac removal.... from 2 toes that was already coming off. Not told until leaving. Therapist was lovely , massage and facial felt lovely. Although know nothing of products used.The front receptionist was quite curt and not interested. No spa etiquette in place with customer not only on laptop while have a pedicure but talking on mobile. Walls so thin you could clearly hear the conversation in the next treatment room and in the lounge. I have never left a negative review of a Spa and never thought I would be leaving this for the Royal. So many other great options in the area give this place a miss.

Not great. Had a royal taster experience and was given to me by friends as a gift. The massage was ok, however the manicure was AWFUL. Nail polish all over my finger nail ends and finger tips. I removed after a day. Happy to provide pictures. I would not recommend Royal.

My partner and I went for a couple’s package. We loved our experience—the massage was relaxing and the perfect amount of pressure. Not to mention a great location. Would highly recommend!

My partner and I were just treated to the deluxe couples package at royal day spa. As someone who is a bit bigger this was out of my comfort zone. I was so pleasantly surprised at the service and the way we were treated at royal day spa. The 2 women who did our treatments were so lovely and welcoming and we cannot speak highly enough of how nice it was from start to finish. We will most definitely back and will not hesitate to recommend this day spa to our friends and family.

Lovely day spa, but feel their treatments are a bit overpriced for what you get. I had the Royal Pedicure and only included puff, polish, foot scrub and heel work. I was also left for 10 minutes on my own while some cream soaked in. An hand or arm massage while the cream soaks in would have been nice.

First time I have ever had a massage, booked a couple room for my wife and I - must say very relaxing, enjoyable and great atmosphere. Worth the money.

Had an eyebrow wax here with Emily and really enjoyed it. The staff are super friendly and the place itself is stunning

My husband and I received a couples package as a gift and what a gift it was. Everything was amazing. Our therapists Sonny (sorry if spelt wrong) and Meg were amazing, in fact everything was from the greeting at reception until we left. We couldn't recommend the Royal Day Spa more highly, a thoroughly enjoyable experience and we will be back.

Had a pedicure with friends on Saturday, with bubbles and nibblies. It was truly amazing! The staff are wonderful, friendly and very good at what they do. I'll be going back.
