Such a fun tea house! Wish I was able to sit down and enjoy but it was just too busy and you really need reservations. They had delicious banana cream pie (a vegan and gluten free option!) as well as a good assortment of teas. The service was a little slow at the take away counter due to the large amount of people there - but nothing too long. Would definitely return with a reservation to hang out for longer.

These tea rooms are incredible. The theme is outstanding, every last detail has been thought about. The menu has great variety. The tea is exquisite. I highly recommend the Berry tea or the Strawberry Daiquiri Mocktail. I have yet to try their cakes or sandwiches. Though I will promise you now I'll be going a third time in a row tomorrow. Fabulous environment for meeting with friends or, as I was, going alone to study or read. The staff are so friendly and welcoming too. They are shining examples of how I aim to be at my workplace! Fantastic x

First time visiting and hopefully it won't be the last. From the decor to the waiting teams the Richmond Tea Rooms were perfect! Loose leaf tea and beautiful tableware is the custom here. The cakes are to die for and honestly a portion fit for a king or queen. Will visit again.

Interior design is very unique and something you cannot find in Manchester. This is superb if you want some amazing content for your instagram feed or blog etc. Alice in the Wonderland, Flowers, Funky colours theme etc. However, the quality of the food is normal and the customer service seems to be not very attentive as based on three visits, which two times we weren't being attended. Also a little bit pricey. I think I would visit again but again for the picture with friends who never have been.

We had a lovely Richmond Afternoon Tea here. The sandwiches, scones and cakes were delicious. The staff were all lovely and very attentive. The decor is class, the theme is Alice in Wonderland, so it is very bright and vibrant. Docked 1 star as the steps were difficult to get up with a pram but we will definitely go again.

Love love love this place. Quirky and fun. The entrance is something to be seen. I had the Buddha bowl and it was simply the best salad I have ever had. Everyone else in the party commented on amazing their food was. Service was welcoming and warm.

2/ 5

I'm really disappointed with this place as it seemed like it had a lot of promise. The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars rather than 1 is because the food did come out really fast after ordering, however the service was appalling. We were waiting 20 minutes after the full party arrived and nobody came over. We asked them to come to take our order. Nobody came for another 10 minutes so we had to ask again. They didn't give us a drink menu so we had to ask. Once they'd taken our food order, noone ever came to take our drinks so we had to ask about that again. Our drinks finally came after we nearly finished our food. The water didn't arrive so we had to ask for that twice. Nobody asked if we wanted to refill our tea. We didn't get any apologies. The staff were really miserable, there were 4 of them on and it wasn't busy so I'm not sure what was going on. The only time the staff were pleasant was when it came to taking the bill, so I'm assuming wanting a tip. My friends had come all the way from Birmingham for a birthday and were really upset by the experience. We couldn't relax because we constantly trying to get their attention as nobody bothered to check on us

What a find! Beautifully themed Alice in Wonderland space which is really tastefully done. Staff were really friendly and attentive but not pushy and the vegetarian breakfast was outstanding! Every element was delicious. Highly recommended and will make a special trip to Manchester to go.again.
