Place is very very run down , more like a hostel , Moises single pained glass windows rotting out of their frames, thread bare carpet , as said before unhelpful concierge couldn’t even be bothered to get us a jug of water from the kitchen for our room. Room smelled of smoke.Avoid if possible. The only plus was the pleasant young fella that checked us in.

Worst hotel I've ever been in. The breakfast was horrendous. If I could give it a minus score I would have. Be warned loads of steps to get to reception. Also the Willow Hotel is the same building as this

We arrived at this hotel as we were in glasgow for my dads 50th birthday my husband checked us in and dropped our bags in the room as we were running late for a meal. When i got back to the room after our night out i was shocked the quilt cover was all ripped the quilt was stained and disguisting. The sanitary bin in the toilet was full of used sanitary towels the smell was awful. When complained the next day the reception man said there was nothing he could do as we should have said something friday. He was expecting us to stay another night in the room as we booked 2 and said he wud have a work with the cleaner i ended up giving him the keys and telling him he cud keep the room that i wud find somewere else to stay . It was disguisting i tripped over the ripped carpet in the bedroom the curtains smelt like damp . Never will i ever go back i was also refused a refund. DISGUISTING!!!

Aweful! WiFi inadequate,TV not work, no plug in sink, shower very weak and small, soap dispenser not working, bed hard and uncomfortable, overworked and understaffed reception, unable to offer reduction or refund or even call the management! I'll never go there again.

Wasnt a bad hotel at all for the price. Paid £100 and got a spacious room, TV and breakfast. Location is decent also. A 20min walk to the Hydro and 10mins from the shops at the centre of town. The carpet on the stairway and hallways could do with being updated they look old and ratty. And paint definitely needs touched up on the walls and door frames. Breakfast was lovely you get a choice of cereals, toast, eggs bacon etc. Cant fault it at all. However when we came in and sat down we waited 15mins before being seen to by the waitress and 2 tables who had came in after us were served before us aswell. It was quite a wait just for some toast. A few small things like these need to be addressed and this would be a cozy 4 star hotel. Many thanks.

The price for this hotel is usually low. The hotel is old so there is no lift. The rooms are generally spacious and the beds comfortable. You need to be fit to stay here because there is a steep hill to get up to the hotel, followed by lots of steps and then a trip up the hotel stairs to your room. The decor is really nice and quaint.
