5/ 5

I have had the deep and sincere honour of being a student of R. L. John for many years. I first came to him as a complete novice, wishing to learn classical and acoustic guitar. His knowledge, warmth of approach and teaching style is nothing short of inspirational. He made me feel comfortable, capable and nurtured my growing ability with patience and dedicated attention. Each classical piece he would carefully select for me, taught me new performance skills and techniques. On each rehearsal, he would steer me in the right direction, helping my confidence grow in a supportive manner. Over time, I soon found myself able to play pieces I never would have believed I could. I wanted to learn the guitar for personal growth. It was a dream I had always held. Signing up for tuition from R.L. John was one of the best decisions I have ever made. He gave me a gift I treasure to this day and I am forever grateful. I cannot recommend him enough.
