Lovely park in Brighton with child friendly play area. Includes sand pit, climbing ropes, slides and swings. Beyond the play area is a beautiful pond with swans and geese. The platform over the pond has been closed, however there are lots of other areas to view the park. Parking is difficult to find but situated very close to the park. There is a small cafe on site serving hot drinks cakes and ice cream at reasonable prices.

Apart from being very attractive there was a herd of swans on and around the path round the pond. I had to walk between them and they acted like I wasn't there! Squirrels everywhere too, who stopped to look at you before getting on with their business.

Nice play area for kids and free public toilets always welcome. Interesting dilemna on the car parking.Spent 10-15 minutes registering to pay by phone- turned out to be £10+20p (admin charge?) even for one hour!!! Used the alternative credit card parking machines -£4.70 for 4 hours. Made staying around a bit more palatable! Surprise. Surprise.

Love taking my Granddaughter here but occasionally our trips are ruined by some high school age children who think its funny to wreck the toilets. Other than that it can be a lovely quiet place to sit by the pond or on the grass, or to take children to the sand/play area. Just be aware the cafe only takes cash at the present time, but its always well stocked.

Little gem in Brighton, not too busy compared to somewhere like the beach, and much nicer than Preston park. Its quite secluded but there are people there usually. Has a good selection of small gardens and a pond. Great for running round.

5/ 5

One of our favourite parks in Brighton a little out of the way so it doesn't get too crowded. Beautiful little lake with swans and ducks to entertain the little one. Has space for sports, tennis courts and a great play area for the kids too. Soon will have a coffee shop opening in the Southwest corner to compliment the one in the play area. All in all, excellent park looked after well by the local community!

Lovely park, had some good memories here. Shame the council have let it get in such a bad condition though.. The bowling green uses to be immaculate.. Now it looks more like a garden for wildlife 😔
