I am only rating one star for disability service. Everything was GREAT about the university. Student services helpful, SP too. Cozy university, Small enough that it will listen to your suggestions if they are valid to change things and flexible to work around student well being and big enough to give a degree that recognized around the world. I did my BA in Public Relations and my MSc in management. Total 4 yrs the only thing I rate one star is for learning disability service. Its almost as it does not belong to the university. If you have any learning disability the university disability services are pretty basic. They Inform me about disability allowance which was great but not the help needed to finish assessment, advice on how to appeal for some result and in fact the SP helped more with this. They were delayed with the educational report to the point that the semester finished and done the exams and the result were released and only then I got that I’m eligible to be helped. Make sure you are on top of the whole thing, follow up with them, insiste, be proactive, confident, not shy or you lose the things that you are untitled to have. SP have helped me a lot. Disability adviser at my time were and know the minimum which is better than nothing at all... my disability adviser refuse to make me anther test until I insisted so make sure you know your right to get it.

It's a small university but has many great people. The Film and Media course has recently gone through some changes, making it even more attractive to prospective students. Can highly recommend going there.

Could be worse. Staff nice enough but the IT system is awful. Massively outdated. Slip road back onto the A1 is one of the most dangerous junctions I’ve ever seen, blind until last second. Take care if driving it

5/ 5

I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience in my course so far. I am a second year Film & Media student and have found the course to be very diverse in module's , offering knowledge and experience in different fields of Film and Media (not just the production side). I feel that even the less interesting modules have been beneficial to my future career pursuits. Enthusiastic lecturers and great atmosphere, I recommend to anyone interested in any film related career.

Very friendly and truly helpful staff and professors. I wouldn't have passed a single unit, especially during the strenuous situation during covid if it wasn't for their support and understanding. Thanks
