NO PARKING ON SITE DURING DAMS PROJECT! Bear this in mind when you travel, you can't park on Ralph Allen Drive either so will need to find a space on the residential streets at the top of the hill or at the bottom. The project certainly has a impact on the views but it is still a good walk across the top of the site and down to the bridge. I am sure it will look stunning when completed. But you'll need to wait until Spring 2022 at the earliest.

A lovely estate to walk around and discover. Even though a fair amount is closed off for renovations due to damage caused by the signal crayfish, there's lots to see and do. My daughter enjoyed going round and discovering the tasks and activities.

Designed by Capability Brown, the landscaped gardens of Prior Park are majestic. A steep meadow leads down to a palladian bridge and lakes, with views of the city of Bath beyond. A pond and tree sheltered walks sit above, and also down the sides. The beautiful house above the gardens is currently a school, and sadly not open to the public. Be warned: there is no parking there, nor nearby.

We had a lovely 2/3 hours on Easter Sunday. The boys (8 & 4) enjoyed the Easter trail very much and the woodland play area got a 'wow' and full approval from both boys, without a swing or slide in sight. Yes some parts of it are out of bounds while the work on the dams continues but there are some good diggers to look at as a result. Interesting 130 year old graffiti on the bridge. Lovely views of Bath. Perfect for a little family visit.
