I was not allowed to pick up my parcel using EU ID. The staff told me that it is an invalid ID, because 'this is UK, you need to show a UK passport'. The EU ID is an official document, accepted even by boarder police at UK boarder!! I did not expect to be discriminated against in a place like a post office.. Is refusing to serve a person due to them not being a UK citizen is even legal???

Deliberately unhelpful & obstinate Postmaster. Refused to accept my ID when picking up online currency order because my passport is in married name and the payment card is in my maiden name (this caused no problem when ordering the currency!) - He wouldn't accept marriage cert as proof of ID until he'd been told to do so by Head Office - who I had to plead with him to call. The suggestion throughout the entire miserable exchange was that I had stolen the bank card, he even made the person at Head Office accept full liability in case the card did turn out to be stolen - an utterly embarrassing and wretched experience.

The staff were deliberately unhelpful and spouted anti-EU propaganda the entire time I was there. They even used the word "polish" as if it were an insult in an of itself. I was utterly disgusted by the bigotry and ignorance displayed. Stay away.
