I use their services quite often and always have an excellent service. Where else can you drop off your parcel before PO opening times? For those who complain about slow service- well blame customers themselves who don't know where their wallet is or realised that the best place to fill in address is right at the counter.

Been using this post office for a little while, until today, they over charged me on a large letter, said it won't fit and I end up paying for a small parcel, which is ridiculous, the package went through the size guide but when paying at the till, charged me for a small parcel! Poor! very disappointed!

Sean who runs the shop and PO single-handedly since Covid is one of Oxford's unsung heroes. He works all hours handling a stream of customers with multiple requirements and in multiple languages. He remains calm throughout. I regularly send parcels to my daughter at university and he recommends the best way for me to send them and they always reach her. Thanks Sean.

I have been using their postal services for a long time. This is the most reliable and efficient service! I am especially grateful to a person who runs the shop. He is always polite and friendly! During pandemic times he sacrificed himself to his work! And has been opened EVERY SINGLE DAY!!! The shop supports various charities including NHS! Thank you!

I am so sorry to see a recent bad review of the St Giles post office. I have been going here for years and find the service excellent. Many people come into the shop for a variety of things, and the man who runs the shop is efficient and kind. He now manages the shop on his own, which is quite a feat (especially during all the challenges posed by Covid!), and he is able to keep the queue moving by helping multiple people - most of whom are in a hurry - at once. I am very thankful for this shop and the manager who works so hard and is doing his best!!

1/ 5

I have lived in Oxford for six years and I have never experienced a customer service as bad as that of the St Giles Post Office. The employee who usually mans the post office is incredibly rude every time I go there. The most recent example of this was when I told him I wanted to send a package to Germany and his first response was to sigh and very visibly roll his eyes at me. He then proceeded to charge me more than twice the rate on the Royal Mail website and when I pointed this out he insisted he was right and that he could "see from here that that package is much too big for that rate." I told him I had explicitly entered the measurements on the website, so I was quite certain it was correct. Only when I wouldn't give in, he rolled his eyes again, then started to measure the parcel and finally conceded that I was right, then still charged me a rate significantly above the one on the website. Zero customer service, zero advice on what options are available. He also refused to accept my stamps as partial postage for the package even though according to a quick internet search, he should accept them. Absolutely terrible experience! I will walk the extra 10 minutes to St Aldate's in the future just to avoid this place.
