These guys are over worked and underpaid, I’ve always been polite and patient with this in mind. Mr Patel is actually quite a pleasure if you have a bit of banter with him. Just a warning make sure you have the return address on the back of your parcel or he will scald you! Overall it is what it is and it’s quite a unique place in its own special way! Just remember when reviewing it’s a post office not a restaurant people.

I just experienced the horrible service there and the other comments are true. They wouldn’t accept my parcel because I had to readjust the tape! So I readjusted in 20 seconds and stood back to the line as he asked someone else to come forward! Last week in Richmond a lady taped my parcel better in order to save me money without even asking her. So I don’t see why I would ever choose the Kew over the Richmond brunch. Terrible service!

Usually a long queue so be prepared to wait. Also don't bother taking parcels there as he won't take them as he has "no space", you will need to go to Richmond. I can understand the bad reviews on here as it is the most frustrating place. Sometimes it is just closed for no apparent reason. I do wonder how long they will be in business!

Rude, unfriendly staff. Always close early. Close whenever they feel like it. If you’re not careful you will end up waiting for days on end in the line to post something.

Easily the most rude and unfriendly post office I have ever been to. The staff here seriously need to take a class in customer service or just plain human decency. My day is always ruined coming here because of the attitude and disrespect towards myself and other customers- it's almost as if they don't want our custom! The last time I came in here I needed to send a letter signed for, and when I entered the store I was very rudely told I needed to wait outside. If I had been told nicely I wouldn't have minded at all but the woman was very impolite about it, and if it weren't for the fact I urgently needed to send this letter I would have walked out there and then. The man working in the post office also has a very bad attitude- always rudely asking what's inside the packages. Once again, this is something I would not mind at all if he were polite about it, but because of his attitude it always feels more like an interrogation or accusation than a simple question. Another time when I came in here I was looking at the magazines in the newsagent section, I lifted one out so I could see the cover as it was behind a stack of other magazines and I was, once again very rudely, told that I had to put it down unless I was going to buy it. I did not open it or read it, I was simply looking at the cover to see what it was. Needless to say I did not make a purchase. I wish I could say that I would not return but I have no choice but to come here if I am sending a large parcel or need to send something tracked or signed for as there are no other post offices in my area. If you have any other option, like buying postage online, using a private courier or travelling to another post office I would highly recommend doing so instead. Take your business somewhere where they will treat you with respect and be grateful for your custom.

AVOID Absolute horrible, rude and vile owners! How on earth this post office has not had the licence revoked is beyond me. They treat everyone like literal trash and I will never ever step food in this post office again they are complete misery guts. If they don’t like the job that much why don’t they just close instead of taking it out on customers. Richmond post office is not to far and I strongly advise you going their rather than being abused by these two horrors. Also 5 minutes walk down the road at Squires food and wine 299 Sandycombe road they have a HERMES postal service the staff are very nice, extremely helpful and I highly recommend using them if you need somewhere local.

I completely disagree with the complaints of rudeness and poor service. This is a small post office and cannot handle very large boxes. That is not their fault. I find them very thorough and meticulous and while not super “friendly” they are not rude. Over the years they have saved me countless hours by picking up errors we’ve made on various forms they’ve reviewed. Nothing I’ve posted has ever gone astray. Try showing some kindness folks and put away the entitled attitude.

if only there was a zero stars option! Despite best efforts (cringingly nice just to get them to accept a parcel or letter) at all times they are 99% of the time, rude and abrasive. Today they decided to shut at 2pm (instead of the ridiculously early 2.30pm) but wouldn't let me in at 1350pm as it would take too long. I have been going to the post office for over 20 years and 'know' Mrs Patel but she just slammed the door in my face and locked it. And this is usual behaviour - lets not forget the time Mr Patel through a magazine at a customer or when he shouted at a pregnant woman and she fled in tears. I know they are unhappy and don't want to be there but there abusive behaviour should be stopped. They are legendary in Kew for their awful, rude service. We just want a friendly pot office service. they run it according to their own convenience (they wont take large parcels, they wont take free return parcels...the list goes on. And the post office are not interested - they have had 'hundreds' of complaints. Soooooo frustrating.

I've lived in this area all my life and it's kind of a local joke how bad the service is - the school kids have always been scared of these people. Yeah, they're pretty rude, but you've just got to take it. Have everything ready, don't ask any questions, and respect covid rules and they won't give you a problem.
