The head teacher was too strict on pupils and seemed to believe in a ‘scare them straight’ sort of policy . On multiple occasions I and other former students and parents of children at poppleton ousebank have seen students be verbally abused as when a child got into trouble some of the teachers were caught screaming in their face. My brother with Asperger’s syndrome also had no additional support and was told to ‘wait until Manor Academy’ before he would be able to have some real help. All round awful experience and wouldn’t recommend.

4/ 5

I am former student of this place and had an amazing experience here. I made many good friends and learnt a lot. There are many opportunities for residentials and school trips all providing a positive experience! One thing I did thing they struggled with was throughout the first lockdown communication was unclear and limited. I can't put too much blame on them as it was a new experience for everyone. They are struggling with money as they had to shut all events down during the pandemic but they are going to be back on! Please come to any you hear about!
