Well, you cannot expect many people give a police station a positive reviews by the nature of the "business", some of the people who have had bad impression may not represents the whole population. I had an absolute positive experiences with the friendly and helpful local officers working in Glasgow. I used to ask them the direction to Tesco on street.

My only issue with the force is that they have a tendency to treat everyone as criminals in the first instance then when they check you out there whole attitude changes. I can understand there reasoning but first impressions works both ways
