Ping On Chinese Restaurant edinburgh

Pretty good spot. It was a little pricy for the quality of the food but it was easy to book a reservation. I've noticed it's ready hard to get a res in Edinburgh. The atmosphere was good but not great kind like a medicore Chinese place in the states. No need to dress up. Great place if you need to go somewhere fast.

My family and I visited last night for my mum and dads wedding anniversary. From the moment we sat down we were made to feel like we were an inconvenience. We were all rushed to make our food and drinks orders. After each course the waitress came over to clear plates even though we were still eating. At one point she reached over to remove my uncles plate as he was putting food in his mouth. The waitress stood and watched us eating for the duration of the meal which made us all feel uncomfortable. We were there for an hour and a half but by the behaviour of staff you would think we had been there for 5 hours. The quality of the food was good but the customer service was terrible and what should have been a nice family meal left us all feeling disappointed and awkward.

Friendly staff and very good food (even if not superb, but still) for vegetarians: options are quite plentiful for a very reasonable price.

Ordered at 21:15 and it didn’t turn up until 23:00 after a phone call chasing them. We ordered vegetarian spring rolls and were given meat ones so that was a waste of money. Food was okay but nothing special. Definitely won’t be ordering from here again.

Lovedddd every dish we ordered. So tasty and great temperature. We ordered chicken Szechuan which was a nice spice level, chicken cooked well and a decent portion. Chicken satay cooked well nice coconut curry sauce. Singapore noodles good portion. Fried rice with egg decent portion and tasty. 😌

This is the worst restaurant in Edinburgh. The estimated time to deliver was 90 minutes which is too long. However, it took almost 3 hours to deliver. I called the restaurant after the original 90 minutes and the call was immediately declined. 10 times in a row. The phone does not work. When the food finally arrived the delivery driver banged on the door. After all that time waiting the food was awful and clearly not fresh at all. These people should be arrested and the government should get involved. Go anywhere else for food.

Not as good as been in past. Staff were very disorganised, falling over each other. Felt as though they were throwing your meal at you. Meal was nice but had better.

Your comments waited 2 hours for delivery. We are two vegetarians and they put one meat spring roll into our order. It was the first thing I took a bite out of and immediately spat it out. Not a good start to eating my meal. I was so upset by this it was hard for me to enjoy the rest of my meal. Everything else was correct and did taste good in the end. I would have given a high score on the food quality had they been more careful and didn't give a 17 year long vegetarian a meat spring roll. Unacceptable. and waiting 2 hours is also unacceptable.

Turned up for my 17:30 reservation only to find the restaurant closed poor show you need to update your web site with the correct opening times
