Update: The below issue has been promptly addressed by the manager who called me the next day to offer me another appointment. When they attended, my husband and son received an excellent service.
I received really poor customer service during my last visit and will definitely look for another dentist for my family. I was refused the appointment for my 8 year old son’s check up on the basis that I was eight minutes late. I apologised and explained to the young lady at the desk that I had walked half an hour with two small children and hoped that she would understand that it is not easy for a working mother to manage everything. I said that I would have happily waited for as long as it was needed in order for my child to be seen. I also added that I was on my own at the time as my husband had to go abroad so it would have been a huge help if we could have the appointment and not have to come back, again with two small children. When I was refused again, an old lady very kindly offered to give up her appointment for me to take it. It is incredible that a lady I did not know would have been ready to do what she could to make my life easier when the receptionist, whose job is about looking after customers, decided to be so unhelpful and show such lack of understanding. I cannot believe that five minutes could not be found to do a check up on a little child. Ironically, I have always had to wait at least 15 minutes for every appointment that I have attended at the practice and I have never complained about it.
