A great tour by Michelle. Interesting history attached to the cavern and a great practical lesson in how the cave was used and the origin of its colourful medieval name! Michelle's passion for geology and history was evident and authentic making for a brilliant experience. (Anyone complaining about the parking being £5 has clearly never been to Cambridge where it is literally cheaper to get a parking ticket for the day!)

My partner and I visited for my Birthday trip and it was well worth seeing! The cavern was incredible and our guide Michelle was absolutely wonderful, she made the whole thing interactive while being totally Covid conscious and had such a wealth of knowledge to share with us. All of the staff we interacted with were lovely and helpful. The whole experience was amazing and Michelle even suggested the Cave Dale to us and drew the route out for us so we didn’t get lost! Couldn’t recommend this experience enough!

We visited today and really enjoyed the experience. A look at a proper working cavern from years ago, when the guides made ropes for use during the visits by the Victorian gentry. We went several hundred metres below the ground and under peveril castle, during a very enjoyable visit, great guide, told us everything about it. Highly recommended *****👍

Gotta love The Devil's Arse! Lots of history attached [look up Queen Victoria's visit and the adjustment made for her], interesting stuff. Also, a scene from the Chronicles Of Narnia film The Silver Chair was filmed on and around a purpose built slide within the cave. Would love to return to witness one of the many live music/entertainment events they put on. Would be a magical experience.

Our tour guide (Charlotte) was brilliant, very knowledgeable and friendly. There was a great demonstration of rope making at the start which I took part in and got to keep my rope, which was cool. We were shown through the caves with lots of continual info at every corner and dip. Highlights included the Calcite dragon and the cool stories about the rope master's money making schemes. Would highly recommend for the price, took about 75 minutes, all in all. Note: some parts require ducking for 20-30 paces.

My two young children and I had a fun, memorable and educational trip to Peak Cavern this week. Our guide was enthusiastic, knowledgable and engaging. My children were obviously engaged as they have talked a lot about their trip and my son, two days later, is still playing with the rope he had the opportunity to make during the trip. Definitely will be returning.

Visited with my 6 year old son on Sunday. Our guide (I think his name was Barry - sorry if I have this wrong!) was brilliant. He was such a lovely chap and so knowledgeable, it really took us back in time and brought the cavern to life. My son came out and said it had been the best day ever.

A bit pricey, but absolutely worth it! The guide Mouse is very nice and informative, the rope making process was very interesting and you can keep the rope too! The cave walk through is amazing, especially with all the details you get to see, like the scorching marks, the stalactites, the water dripping. It was my first experience in a cave but I really enjoyed it!
