Parklands Medical Practice bradford

6 days ago my 2 year old daughter started with a bad cough and struggled talking due to breathing difficulties. After contacting 111 they advised me to see my GP. I have regulary tried booking an appointment through the online service but there is never one available. I have tried a variety of times during the day and I have even tried the early hours. When you try and ring at 8am it is always engaged!!! When you do get through there are no appointments left. This place is an absolute disgrace. How are you supposed to get an appoinment???? If you are new to the area and are looking for a doctors surgery do not go here!

Most of the receptionists are rude and full of inaccuracies as to what they advise. There are a few exceptions, like Janice and Lisa ,who are amazing in their job and so efficient and polite. It is absolutely heartbreaking and very disconcerting to be treated with such poor manners and decorum when poorly by some of the others in reception and phone lines. I have repeatedly reported this to Ian Taylor, the manager and have seen zero improvement. If you hate people so much, please don't work in a people oriented profession. Also when working with vulnerable people you should show some empathy and sympathy and not be callous. A please and thank you and basic telephone training is desperately needed as again very few can communicate in an appropriate manner. Absolutely disgraceful.

Never had a problem. My partner is registered here and they have been amazing, especially Jo (nurse practitioner). I’m also going to be registering here as from what I have seen they want to help and take the time to listen. Never had an issue getting my partner an appointment. Kind friendly receptionists. Can never get an appointment. Always tells you to ring in the morning 8am, when you finally get through no appointments left. Ring next morning again. Been referred by 111 to make an appointment within 24hrs. Called my gp practice and been told to call 8am in the morning. Rang this morning and what do I hear? No appointments left and next available appointment 25th July. Now this is a joke because I am in pain and worried about what it is. Will have to go to A&E instead and wait to be seen there

WHERE DOMI START I HAD A DREDFULL WATER INFECTION AND AS USUAL I COULD NOT BE SEEN AS ALL THE APPOINTMENTS HAD GONE 2 DAYS LATER THIS TURNED INTO A FULL BLOWN KIDNEY INFECTION WHERE I WAS VOMITING CONSTANTLY AND I COUD NOT EAT AND I COULD HARDLY WALK I RANG THE GP CRYING IN SO MUCH PAIN FIRST THING IN THE MORNING AND WAS TOLD THERE WAS NO MORE APPOINTMENTS UNTILL THE 31ST BEAR IN MIND THIS WAS THE FITH I THEN RANG 111 AND THEY TOLD ME TO RING THE GP BACK AND ASK TO SPEAK TO A GP AS THIS WAS A SERIOUS ILLNESS THAT IF NOT TREATED COULD BE EXTREAMLEY THREATENING I RANG BACK THE RECEPTIONIST SAID OUR DRS WILL NOT NOT DO THAT AND AND NEVER WILL I THEN WENT TO A AND E AT CALDERDALE ROYAL HOSPITAL WHERE I WAS VOMITING AND FAINTING I HAD TO HAVE 2 DRIPS PUT IN AND SCANS AND WAS IN A WHEELCHAIR I THEN WAS SENTNIN AN AMBULANCE TO HUDDERSFIELD HOSPITAL WHERE I HAD TO STAY OVER NIGHT HAVING BLOOD TESTS AND SEVERE LOW BLOOD PRESURE AND SEVERE HIGH TEMPERATURES I WAS PRESCRIBED ANTI BIOTICS AND SENT HOME THE NEXT DAY I AM ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED AT THIS TREATMENT AND PLEASE ANYONE I ADVISE DO NOT JOIN THIS SURGERY YOU WILL BE DEAD BEFORE YOU SEE A GP IVE RECENTLY JOINED THE RIDGE AND I GET AN APPOINTMENT OR A CALL BACK WHEN I NEED ONE ABSOLUTE DISGRACE!

Been a patient at this practice for 35 years, in the last 4 years the service has fallen dramatically and is now well below an acceptable level. They can not get anything right. Reception staff are rude, a doctor has given an adult prescription to a child and there refusal to see patients to be assessed correctly is disgusting especially when a child is involved After 35 years, it's a shame to say, I will be moving practices.

I’ve never had a problem with the staff or GP’s of this surgery. Despite me being a pain at times they have been brilliant nothing is too much trouble. I think they are doing a fantastic job under the current circumstances

When you ring them to see if your med ready they take age to pick the phone

GREAT DRS. HOWEVER shame they have to operate behind an iron curtain of a system. It's making people reluctant to even try and get an appointment. Any wonder Bradford is one of the most unheathiest places in the country to live if this is Area Health in general. And this has been happening since long before covid.

The reception is really rude they just don't care about patients
