The tour's where stopped because the Queen was in residence at the time of our visit. Did receive a high gloss picture book and from its contents the place is Beautiful. Would definitely go back when the Queen is not staying in. Recommend that you take a peek when in Edinburgh.

Generic ticket included a free audio guide with interviews from the royal family and great history. Make sure the Queen is not in town when trying to visit and inclement weather does not impact your ability to enjoy this as it is indoors. Also, if you get your ticket stamped, you will have unlimited access to return (if the Queen is not in Residence) for 12 months

This place is a must. Buy your tickets online and arrive at 9:30 and you’ll enjoy plenty of elbow room as you make your way through the palace. The audio guide is really well done and included in the admission.

Very nice visit with a great audio guide. Nicely presented to see that the Royal family is actually very present in the palace. I really liked the visit of the old chapel as well.

Went here on the same day as Edinburgh castle. I think I enjoyed it more than the castle but it's personal preference. The audio guide was included in the price which I thought was good too. It was a nice time out for an hour or so

Visited with husband and children (aged 4&5). Interactive audio guide was fantastic, really held the children's attention with the right balance of information and games. The 3d rendering of the Abbey was particularly brilliant. The site itself is spectacular. I have visited several times and every time I find it breathtaking. The colleagues are incredibly welcoming and helpful. I'll definitely be visiting again.

Really a wonderful place to visit. Knowing that this castle is still used today is very cool. Seeing things the queen uses while she is there is so interesting! Really loved walking through everything related to Mary Queen of Scots. The cafe was quite lovely as well! The abbey was an added bonus, as was the incredible views of Arthur’s Seat

Must go and visit if you have any interest in history or royal family. Wow amazing. The guided tour on headsets is brilliant. You go around at your own speed and I really like how some of the royal family had added to the tour. Gave you feeling of home and history all together. Definitely somewhere I would love to visit again.

Probably the best audio guide experience. It gives a very clear and detailed explanation of the artifacts, the rooms and how they were used. Anyway, I am an adult but I chose the kids version of the audio guide (choose "family tour" when first given the device) as they are more interactive (there are activities, trivia, and even some role plays!)
