I recently moved to Oxford and was on the hunt for a new salon. This place sounded great based on the reviews and was decently priced. My hair was about shoulder length and I wanted it trimmed to just below chin length. I showed the stylist (who is also the owner) a photo and we discussed what I wanted - one length, with some long layers to add a bit of movement. The wash was lovely and the stylist was pleasant to talk to. The cut started out well. She took her time and seemed to be doing a meticulous job. However, about 20 minutes in I noticed that one section looked shorter than the rest and that she had cut very short layers. I pointed out the issue and let her know I was starting to get nervous about what the haircut would look like. She reassured me that she wasn’t finished and that it would look great. I tried to relax and let her do her thing. 10 minutes later she asks me what I think and I am lost for words. The length was uneven, had too many short layers and was overall much shorter than we had originally discussed (which I believe was a result of her trying and failing to fix her mistake). She blamed my thick hair and when I reminded her of the photo, said my hair was too thick for that style. Well, not much use saying that after the hair has been cut! There was nothing that could be done to fix it, so I gathered my things and left. I will now have to tie my hair up for a month until the layers grow out and I can get the cut evened out. Very, very disappointed.

Walked in today with my daughter and we were both able to get cuts straight away. I had a wash, cut, and blow wave and really loved the result. My daughter had her hair trimmed too. Very patient and friendly stylist. Thanks so much!
