This Oxfam charity shop is located on School Road in the centre of Sale town. They sell a variety of donated clothes, accessories, books and homewares. They accept donations of undamaged items from the public to sell in their shop. Textiles which are unsold via the shop are sent to a plant to be recycled, so nothing is put to waste. Volunteers work in the shop, and welcome people to lend a hand to assist the running of this business.

What a wonderful shop. A few weeks back I met the Manager, I think, who was reading the same book that I was. Today when I took a suitcase and two cardboard boxes of books I met a volunteer- a nurse, a Yorkie from Huddersfield. The Oxfam cause is great. The volunteers and those who work for convince you that it needs all and more of commitment from those who care.
