Really nice pub looking out onto the canal waterway behind through curved glass windows. In a time where pubs are either made pretentious and 'gastro', meaning that their atmosphere is awful and people sullen and miserable, this pub is still a warm, friendly and proper pub. The food is good rustic pub food (probably because it is a Greene King pub) which is few and far between nowadays! The waiters/waitresses are always nice and friendly, and there is a nice veranda to sit out on with plants looking out over the canal. There is a downstairs room for functions which has a nice outside section. All in all it is a pub which should be supported more, as it is in a lovely setting and is a nice atmosphere! I don't understand why more people don't go to be honest.

Great service and food, lots of great options! Particularly want to commend their approach to allergies: I mentioned my tomato allergy and not only was the tomato removed from the burger I ordered, but they even came over and checked about putting the salsa on the side of the shared nachos we ordered! I unfortunately didn't get the name of the person who did this, but wanted to say thank you to them for this :) Recommend!
