I have been in contact with Jo at various points during the past three years. From the start, she provided excellent advice and guidance on the issues in question and I would not hesitate to recommend her services to others. Jo was supportive and explained things clearly during the difficult process of going to court. She worked diligently on the case and kept me informed and up to date. Jo has also helped me to link in with other professionals relevant to the circumstances following the court case which has been greatly appreciated.

Jo is a highly professional, perceptive and non-biased practitioner - I truly believe had we found her earlier, our separation and divorce would have been far less painful and our relationship may even have been saved. Using mediation and working collaboratively, Jo worked really hard to understand the underlying issues causing dispute and driving our behaviour and decisions. Though sensitive to our individual emotions she appropriately challenged any misconceptions and misunderstandings we had and was invested in finding a middle ground that worked in everyone’s best interests. Though not out of the woods yet her advice and support has been invaluable and I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone considering or currently separating.

Jo O'Sullivan was very supportive and helpful at a difficult time in my life. She explained each step and was very thorough and professional. She communicated effectively and clearly with my husband who didn't have representation and brought matters to a successful conclusion. I have no hesitation in recommending her services.

Jo is an excellent lawyer and lovely lady. She does her best to ensure conflict resolution, but when this is not possible (as in my case) Jo ensured that the entire process was as painless as possible. Since my case was quite lengthy it was very reassuring to know that I could rely on her 100 per cent to get back to me on a range of issues. She is very efficient and this makes her extremely cost effective too. Another reassuring thing about Jo is that she really knows her stuff and was clear and honest about potential costs and outcomes from the start. I have no hesitation in recommending Jo and her firm.

I was and remain deeply grateful to Jo for her help during a terrible time. She was prompt in her response to requests, never made me feel stupid for asking basic questions, encouraged me to look for positive options forward, and suggested a mediator who proved considerate, firm and steady. Her focus appeared to me to be always on achieving the best overall outcome both financially and emotionally for her client, rather than on maximising the profit from the situation; and I really appreciated that. I have recommended her unreservedly to others in a similar situation. She is a really helpful, efficient lawyer, and a lovely warm and kind person. I've said it before, but no harm in repeating myself - thanks Jo, you're wonderful!

The service and professionalism was 1st class, but equally important was the high level of empathy displayed during a difficult process. And the process itself, namely collaboration, was excellent, helping to achieve a fair outcome in a sensitive and respectful way. Would definitely recommend both O'Sullivan Family Law and the collaborative process if you wish to reach an amicable outcome.

However 'amicable' the divorce, the process is not an easy one from either emotional or administrative perspectives. Jo's support and empathy certainly eased the heartache and her professional and very responsive approach simplified the bureaucracy.
