This shop is great with extremely helpful staff. Gillian helped me pick out glasses and she was very honest with what suited me and more importantly, what didn’t. Very happy with the overall experience and would highly recommend.

Optician was understandable and professional. When I was asking many little questions, he always gave me full explainations comparing with the opticians I went before from other places. They use electrical equipment to test my eyes instead of testing glasses which gives me a more accurate prescription. Friendly staff too.

Brilliant shop staff are great especially the manager she really helped me out in selecting a great pair of new glasses, the staff in general were very helpful would highly recommend using this branch if you are a customer and if you are looking for a new opticians this would and is my choice of place to go.

Visiting the city and found my glasses had lost a nose pad. Went to optical express and the lady there sorted out for me without any fuss. Fantastic service with friendly staff. Recommended

I had just arrived in Edinburgh after an all-night flight to discover that my glasses were broken. Laura at Optical Express/Shandwick Place was extremely helpful and kind, and had them fixed in no time and at no charge (although I offered to pay). So, the service at this optician is superb, and my only regret is that I was not staying long enough to order a new pair of glasses there -- but if you need new glasses, I highly recommend this place and I'm sure you will experience the same fine service.

All staff were lovely and extremely helpful. Listened to needs and requirements and provided useful information and service. No complaints about this place and will be back !

The staff from the optical express at Shandwick place are very much helpful. Firstly they’ve all welcomed me warmly. Linda is the staff who had attend me. I went to her asking about if you could fix me my sunglasses. she said yes and did it so well. Thankyou Linda 🙌🏻

Really good experience. Technicians and optician really took their time and explained everything to me as I was getting my first pair of glasses. Did not feel pressure to go for expensive brands and was assisted the whole way while choosing glasses.

Many thanks for all the kind help! I tried to fix the nose pads of my glasses today and the Optical Express was the nearest one. I lost one of the pads and the staff there offered to change both of them. Also it was free of charge. Really appreciate it. Many thanks to Laura and Optical Express :)
