I have just been to one of your bakery courses at Sain FFagans with my husband. It was his surprise present for our 40th wedding anniversary. The course was brilliant. Although we both bake bread we learnt a lot as well as enjoying ourselves enormously. Thank you for such a brilliant morning. Now for my husband to come up with a 4th anniversary surprise for me, I bet he can't match it.

I highly recommend One Mile Bakery! Me and four colleagues took part in a team-building workshop with Nick and really had the best time. It was so much fun and we learnt so much from Nick and all his amazing bread knowledge! I'm already looking into booking back in with Nick so I can take friends and family. The bread and sweet treats we got to take home were honestly incredible...I could not stop eating them!

I did a sourdough course with Nick about 18 months ago and learnt so many tips and tricks that day and found it invaluable. The sourdough starter that i was given, is still going strong. I'm still baking his recipes every week, which goes down well with the family!

5/ 5

I had a fantastic day on the Festive Baking course with Nick at the One Mile Bakery Cardiff. I learned a lot more than I expected. We managed to make Stollen, Mince Pies, Cinnamon buns, biscuits and panettone in one day, as well as being fed a delicious three course meal during the afternoon. The course was very well organised to ensure that our teaching time was spent doing the things that we couldn’t do already and learning new skills - working dough with a dough scraper, getting the feel for different types of dough, difficult kneading, folding, cutting. Nick explained everything very clearly and gave a fair amount of technical depth in answer to our questions - he knows his bread! He and his team had also been very organised behind the scenes so that we spent minimal time on the trivial things that we could already do like weighing out ingredients. All the food we made looked and tasted great and the follow up instructions are very clear so I have been practising at home. Definitely recommend this course if you want to take your skills up a level in a friendly and fun environment.
