I went to Omni Care on '2 Home Street, Edinburgh' near to the Canal Point Hostel for an acute problem in a lot of pain and discomfort on a saturday in need of an referral in order to get an anti-biotic. I can only highly recommend it! LAURA was serving me and she took extra time and effort to help me (I was visiting and insured in the US and she made several phone calls to get me a doctors appointment in a hospital emergency unit that was open during the weekends, explained to me where to go and how it works, etc. .... I would have been lost without her. So thank you so much again Laura! There was also a loud and unfriendly costumer in there that she handled totally professionally and with great calmness as well. It impressed me, since I noticed they have a high volume of people coming through, yet they take their time for each individual and show a lot of respect and kindness. My experience was great at this pharmacy and I hope yours will be too- the most caring, fast and beyond what can be expected from an average pharmacy. So I give a five star review!!!

I was looking to get my daughter’s prescription, an antibiotic, went to a Lloyds branch, they said they had 674 prescriptions in front of mine, what?? Most of them don’t know what they do there, but it’s management fault, not stafd. Then went to Boots, did not have item in stock, very chaotic atmosphere there, phoned Omnicare branch on Queensferry road, had the item, arrived and had the prescription done in maximum 10 min, amazing customer service and organized pharmacy. I think they invest in staff and appreciate staff, very well run pharmacy, if I would have had medication on prescription this would be my pharmacy of choice. Well done staff in there!

I would advise you NOT to drop off your dpd parcel there as they are useless. Apparently they don't have space for larger (perfectly dpd legal) parcels. AVOID. Not happy.

I visit quite a few Omnicare pharmacy locations to take advantage of their DPD drop off option (we send a lot of parcels with work). To their credit most of the staff at every omnicare outlet I visit are excellent but there’s one lady at the Barnton one I’ve had the misfortune of coming across several times now who I can only describe as a “jobsworth”. Telling me my parcels (which I send a lot of) won’t be accepted by DPD for various reasons. The latest “crime” was having the label in a specialist documents enclosed envelope. I’m super careful to make sure all our parcels are within dimensions for DPD Drop off locations and anything else is handed over to DPD at Newbridge. This ladies attitude has made me vow not to visit that store to spend money in it in future.
