I've read the other reviews, but I can only comment on my experience with the services there. I've found them helpful and invaluable both professionally and personally. I think all mental health services are badly squeezed at the moment and that services like this need our government to push for more funding for MH.

As a carer, I found the services at oldseee house extremely beneficial for my loved one. The staff were exceptional and couldn't do enough for my loved one or myself . They offer so much support all round not only for patients but their carers. The building is exceptional and does promote wellness and recovery for patients as my loved one had a speedy recovery. The anxiety groups which she attended were beneficial. Despite the negativiy on here this is not what my loved one or myself found. Thanks for reading.

No experience with their services however standing at the bus stop outside everyday while the staff sit there and chain smoke is infuriating. All bus stops clearly indicate they are non-smoking areas. Create a designated smoking area because this is getting ridiculous.

When you buy a used car, an important step in process is to thoroughly inspect the vehicle before you buy. Make sure it's all good under the hood! When you start seeing a new therapist, take some time to reflect on what questions you need to ask to find a therapy that's right for you. Keep in mind that not all therapies are alike, and knowing a little about different therapists' styles and specialties can help you make better informed decision. Therapists are people, and people can be irritating. It's probably not imperative that you actively like your therapist, but you do have to find them agreeable and, more importantly, like their approach.

Telling some that they don't fit the criteria for depression because they can wash themselves is belittling and completely neglecting someone's trauma and emotions. The staff should be ashmed of themselves for making such a statement in a less than hour long assessment where they didn't even ask to see the forms.previously given to be filled out. Unprofessional and dangerous for those suffering with mental health issues. Avoid at all costs.

4 months I waited on a phone call, on the day I was due to be called no one rang, I called up and explained this to them and they said "will there's nothing I can do, you need to wait on another appointment that could take another 4 months", so all in all 8 months for a phone call, no wonder why theres so many suicides in the North when you have facilities like this, absolutely terrible!!!!

Please stay clear of this place. I went to see Dr AJ who was only interested in pushing me back on to a drug which I came off because it was making me feel worse Instead he should have done his job and listened to why I had mental health problems
