Great venue. Lovely food, amazing atmosphere with a quirky decor. Ideal for groups, dates or just on your own! The windows open right out onto the street on sunny days and you can expect a hip crowd. Order a cocktail in the hidden bar around the back. The staff are friendly, professional and dress fabulously.

Sunday roast was amazing! Got the lentil roast, vegan option and exceeded my expectations for sure! Cauliflower vegan side was incredible. The service at this place is always 100% as well. Dog friendly and they are always quick to bring a bowl of water for Joey (sorry he spilled it that one time). Craft beer on tap and great atmosphere. Thanks all, will be back!

Wonderful Sunday lunch in this fashionably down to earth Bedminster eatery. Roast beef and all the usual suspects served by charming young waitresses who get on with it, with a smile. Beats cooking at home any day and one of the few of Bristol restaurant where you'll enjoy grandma's home cooked style Sunday roast.

Had an amazing time at The Old Bookshop while visiting Bristol. A great, buzzing atmosphere as soon as you come off the street. If you can't get a seated table, there are standing tables near the bar which is a nice touch Loved the quirky artwork on the walls and pictures. I've always been a big fan of German beers in particular wheat beers - and this is a great place to come, if this is your thing. One of the best selections in the UK I've seen. The Jacob on draft was delicious, along with the usual German classics (see the Augustiner in the photos). All of this was complemented by the delicious vegan tapas-style dishes. I don't always eat vegan cuisine when I go out but I guarantee even meat eaters would enjoy this feast. The staff were very friendly and the clientele just generally very pleasant. I'll definitely be back to visit The Old Bookshop next time I'm back.

Solid establishment for some tasty beers of all varieties in a lush atmosphere with a cozy beer garden. Seems to be a bit of a German beer vibe which, as a fan of good weizen, I'm all about. Only downside is the single unisex toilet. Means queues are inevitable. But aside from that a great spot.

Went here for dinner and drinks last night. This place is wonderfully cosy and characterful, with the widest selection of German beers I have seen in Bristol. The menu is all vegan, but this didn't stop them producing the most authentic currywurst I've had in the UK. Add very friendly staff/owners to the list of positives too, highly recommended.
