It is a shame there isn't a sixth star to tick, as I was unable to find a fault with our holiday or the accommodation, or the location. The cottage (Lose Hill) was sparklingly clean and had every possible convenience. The kitchen was fully equipped, and had enough for 4 settings. The log burner in the sitting room was a blessing as the evenings we're starting to chill off a bit. The double bed was lovely and comfortable. As for the location of the farm. Because you are at the end of a lane, there is no noise from passing road traffic, just the occasional hiker on the footpath along the back if the property, and the rumble of a train from the line across the valley. We found the farm well situated for the local conveniences in Hope, and we made use of the pubs, and shops (which are well stocked with necessities). Sauced Here, recommended by the hosts, provided a food delivery which was on the side when we arrived. All good quality and it meant that we didn't need to go back out that day. Thoroughly recommended if you want a tranquil break, to walk, drive and explore. We will definitely be going back. Thank you both.

We loved the peace and tranquility of Haddy's Hut where our closest neighbours were sheep and the morning view of Winn Hill was stunning. Our hosts had thought of everything so the hut was well equipped with everything we could possibly need. The location, about a mile from the lovely village of Hope, was ideal. A resounding 5* from us, thank you.

We had a lovely weeks stay at The Dairy cottage. It was immaculately clean, and really comfortable and it had everything in it that we could need. Julie and Steven were great hosts, and we are already looking forward to a weekend in Haddy's Hut in the near future.

Our stay in the Old Dairy at Oaker Farm was everything that we'd hoped for. It was a lovely, cosy cottage with everything that we needed and was peaceful and surrounded by dramatic countryside. We chose this spot so that we could go on a few walks and were delighted to find a couple outside the door. In the evenings the village of Hope offered a choice of eateries. The Cheshire Cheese has lovely food or the Curry house on the main road offers equally good meals. In one week we've barely experienced all that the Dark Peak area has to offer and look forward to returning.

Oaker Farm is situated in a superb location at the end of a quiet country lane but within easy and accessible reach of amenities. Wonderful scenery from every window and numerous walks direct from the doorstep. Having now stayed in all cottages and Haddy's Hut we can honestly say the high standard of accommodation, attention to detail and level of cleanliness is apparent throughout. Stephen and Julie are always friendly and welcoming and work hard to achieve such wonderful holiday accommodation.

The place was cosy, welcoming, comfortable and very clean. The kitchen was well equipped. The location was lovely as it was at the end of a valley with fine views of the ridge in front. The only reason for not giving 5/5 was the fact that we had an elderly person who had issues with bathtub. No grab rails so he couldn't get in to it. Definitely recommend the place for non elderly!

Stayed at Haddy's Hut for 3 nights and it was absolutely wonderful. Well equipped and spotlessly clean. A cosy retreat to recharge the batteries. A perfect place to relax and enjoy the Peak District. I shall definitely be returning.
