Ordered a “solid” oak chest of drawers. 2 delivery guys delivered the item to our front door and then 1 of them went back to the lorry and got in, clearly with no intentions of helping his colleague carry it into my house. The remaining delivery guy then “bumped” the chest of drawers into my spare bedroom and left. I was at work but my wife was not impressed. Got home and unpacked the item. No surprise then that the entire side of the unit had broken due the the unique delivery method of turning the item end over end rather than 2 people carrying the furniture into the house. Wife rang Oak Furniture Land and was told that a refund would be available in 5 working days! They picked up the now worthless furniture but no refunded money. Rang them again on the fifth day only to be told that the refund had not been approved, so another 5 days of this company holding my money. To say I am disgusted is an understatement. I will never use this company again. If I could leave 0 stars I would.

Took my mother in law here to buy a matching TV stand to a coffee table previously purchased. The staff in the store are very helpful and the manager excellent. Only negative was the 8 week wait for delivery and poor customer service at head office but as said before shop staff are very good, product quality is great

I just furnished my new flat with one trip to Furniture Village. Thanks to David Marshall for the excellent service.

Very, very nice store. Very clean, tidy and crammed full of beautifully made solid wood furniture. Moreover the staff were very approachable and knowledgeable without feeling like hyenas scavenging constantly for food. Many other companies can and do make you feel like this. Particular mention must go to Derry, who was very informative and knowledgeable and certainly made us feel welcome to browse, take measurements without hounding us like so many other companies do.

DO NOT buy from this company - their customer services is non-existent and the bed we bought from them is riddled with woodworm. We bought a mango wood bed from Oak Furnitureland that was delivered in October 2020. In the summer of 2021 we discovered woodworm in the bed head and stupidly accepted the company's offer to repair it. In December 2021 we discovered further evidence of woodworm in the bed head. I emailed the company and told them I want the bed removed and the house fumigated at their expense to make sure it hasn't spread. No reply so I called them - waited over an hour to get through and spoke to Zoe who said the bed would be collected Jan 4 and the drivers would dismantle it. However, the delivery drivers weren't told they had to dismantle the bed nor that it had woodworm, so they have refused to collect it. That's understandable given the tight deadlines they work under. So customer service has now asked me to call them to rearrange the collection - after calling me but hanging up - just to show that they tried to call me. I will now have to wait an hour on the phone to get through instead of working... When we took the mattress off we discovered the bed is riddled with woodworm and I am now really concerned that the woodworm has escaped and could affect other wooden furniture in our house and possibly get into the joists and roof timbers. I am now seeking legal advice to force the company to pay for the house to be fumigated. This company is a total joke - do NOT deal with them. Their customer service is useless and they have non-existent internal communication so the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.

Great location and good selection of furniture to view in store. Only negative, sale staff have a tendency to follow you around and hassle you for a sale.

Horrendous service. Won't be using again. We purchased a solid oak table and 8 chairs from these guys for the princely sum of around £2000. The guys helping us, in particular Nathan, was very helpful and friendly, so no fault there. We waited around three weeks. First, they delivered the completely wrong colour - oddly, the chairs were correct, but the table was not. Okay, human error perhaps.. we were annoyed, but it happens. That being said, we were still expected to take the time out of our days for THEIR mistake. We had to go and dispose of all the cardboard, polystyrene and various packaging since they stated they would not need it upon collection, and the drivers wouldn't accept it unless it was a 'premium service'. (My dad has undergone chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant within the last few months, so the last thing he really needs is to be driving around during a pandemic with his very weak immune system, fixing other people's oversights....) Today, whilst picking up this rogue miscoloured table and replacing it with the correct one, the delivery driver then told us that all of these tables that are returned, even for as something as simple as the wrong colour, are marked as 'red' and sent off somewhere up north to be sold at half the price. Definitely what you want to hear after you just dropped two grand on one. The tables are made in Vietnam, so I guess they still make a profit even at half the price. Now, we have just received the replacement table, and not only did it come without any 'fixing kit' (aka screws), there's a bloody great crack running down one corner of it, and despite what the driver had mentioned, the package looks like it had been resealed to be sent to us. So, yet again, we are having to deal with the copious amounts of packaging, and trying to get through to customer service (we were told it can take 2 hours to get through...) so that they can once again collect this table and sort out yet another one.. hopefully this time, the item that we paid for - a brand new table in the correct colour. Imagine that?! At this point, I'm contemplating growing my own bloody oak trees and assembling my own table. Buyer beware.
