Good gym to be fair and friendly staff. But if you like doing spin classes or classes in general then dont join. They have a spin studio with about 8 spin bikes, and every class has a waiting list of 30+ people...

Not a member of this gym, however did use the service to arrange swimming lessons. Booked in for a couple of lessons and these were fine but was then was cancelled at very short notice 2 weeks in a row with valid reasons given and told I would be contacted to rearrange. Never been called back following this so had to go elsewhere. This was a shame as the gym and facilities look pretty good, however I felt there was a lack of professionalism in my experience

Top notch gym facilities, excellent little cafe as well and very pleasant staff on reception, always greeted with a smile and can't beat doing a session in the gym then having a costa on the way out to get the caffeine levels back up!

Disappointed that Nuffield have now gone over to Technogym. Its good that they have a new Concept 2 cross country ski machine but the gym is now just too crowded with equipment. Paper dispenser empty and only one water fountain.

I’ve been a member of the gym for around 5 years and every year it’s getting more tired and ill-maintained looking. Lots of weights machines are clunking or damaged, the treadmills are so noisy and clunky and the air conditioning has never really worked as far as I recall, which is a nightmare on warm and humid days. There’s currently issues with the pool which means it isn’t open, and the jacuzzi is out of order too. I appreciate COVID will be slowing down the pool repairs as they happened relatively recently, but gym equipment has been like this long before Covid. It’s a shame as the location is really convenient and it has the potential to be the great fitness centre it once was, but needs some investment.
