Nuala Morey

I was so fortunate to have an appointment with Nuala herself and it was an experience that I wanted to share for anyone looking to have their hair truly shine. During lockdown I had become obsessed with Nuala’s Instagram page and the incredible work shown, especially the before and after. If you haven’t been on there I highly recommend you take a look (nualamoreysalon) I couldn’t wait for her to get her hands on my hair and it was definitely worth the wait. The whole experience was truly amazing. To start, Nuala examined my hair and just got it straight away. For a curly girl who has been transitioning for over 2 years, trying to work out what works and doesn’t work for my hair and trying every product doing so definitely takes commitment. It was so comforting talking to Nuala who has so much knowledge and understanding that I immediately felt at ease, so much so I completely trusted Nuala to do what she thought was best for my hair when it came to the colour and the cut, which is something I have never been able to do. Nuala was completely honest and transparent with me, as I was having a some of the length taken off for the benefit of the hair and the incredible cut I was about to have. Next for the colour, Nuala knew exactly what colours would work to correct the colour and more importantly what would suit my colouring and be safe for my hair. Throughout the whole appointment Nuala educated me on products and application, I was so truly grateful for all the knowledge she shared with me. The time and dedication Nuala gave me was incredible and I couldn’t believe the results, it is honestly the first time I have been truly so happy and loved my hair. Nuala and her team were so lovely and I feel so grateful to have had the experience I have had. Nuala is a Curl Queen and her work is so incredible, I can not recommend Nuala enough and I am so thankful for everything she has done for me. I had my first ever curly cut at Nuala's salon and I was so impressed! Georgia did a wonderful job and gave me the type of curls I could only dream of before! I was completely reassured by their social distancing measures and was comfortable to see all staff and other customers following the guidelines. I really can't thank all of the staff enough for how much better my hair looks and feels. I will definitely be returning!

I cannot recommend the Nuala Morey system enough. I have been using my guide for two weeks now and I have seen a huge difference in my hair. The plan is written so well. It is very clear and easy to follow and contains far more information than I expected. I completely trust Nuala and I would do anything that she recommends. I was following the curly girl method which worked well for me at the beginning, but over time my hair lost its curl and became flat and heavy. The colour and cut recommendations really excite me and I cannot wait to visit the salon one day when they open again so that I can explore these options. Nuala is completely amazing at styling curly hair. I am convinced there is nothing about curly hair she doesn't know! She is super willing to share her knowledge and knows how to encourage your best version of your curls. As a result I have hair I am happy with. Nuala I am so glad I found you!

My first ever "curly cut" and really happy with the results. I'm just starting to learn about curly hair. All the hair styling was very well explained including recommendations of products and how to take care of my curls. Thanks specially to Rich who is a great stylist, very thorough with the haircut, and honest and Nuala for a great experience! 🎉

This is the first salon I have found that was confident in handling my daughters beautiful head of 4A/B mixed hair. And also the first place that made me feel comfortable handing her hair over to them! Her hair was handled competently, given a beautiful shape and came out looking a way that it has never looked before. A vast wealth of knowledge of different curl types and textures is clear to see, and the knowledge is openly shared with clients. It really is a wonderful haven for curls! Such a lovely place, as soon as we went in it was clear to see all stylists working in a different way than I had seen before. The dedication to making clients feel embraced and get the best out of their hair is visible to see. Thank you for a brilliant experience.

Tomasz is an excellent stylist and I am always extremely happy with my hair. He takes the time to explain the different products and how to apply them. The salon is not the cheapest I have visited, but the time taken today at my appointment was just under 1.5 hours. It is the only place that has consistently cut my hair well. My hair is cut dry and then washed & styled after, which makes a massive difference to the shape of my curls and is much better than a wet cut. £40 is kept on account, for my next appointment, which seems slightly steep, this amount can be used towards to cost of the appointment, however, when (if) you book your next appointment in store or online, £40 deposit is required again. Lovely salon, comfortable chairs and an excellent range of hair products.

Booked my daughter in for a hair cut and treatment as a birthday treat - can't recommend it enough!! Staff were amazing, they treated my daughter like a VIP and she was absolutely thrilled with her hair. Such good of knowledge of cutting curly hair, brilliant service.
