We stayed in an ocean view room. And it was worth it! The view of the water was so peaceful and seeing the sun rise as I woke up is just perfection. I love the beach, so being within close proximity was a major plus on location. Otherwise, it's a 17min walk to the town centre for shops and major eatery chains. We were super lucky that we had 5 cockatoos come for a visit by the closed and sealed window. The only downside was this time of year is a bit cold, so didn't make use of the pool, which was a tad small. And the spare sofa bed looked horribly soft and uncomfortable but we didn't need to use it anyway so that's fine. The bar area is very nice and super spacious. There are a number of cafes within 2min walk next door and they were great for brekkie. Overall, service was attentive. Cleaners and shop staff within the hotel were super friendly. Would definitely come back again!

This hotel is so profit focused and not customer service focused. Reception were not very friendly when we 1st arrived In bedroom we were surprised to see stuff for shower for only one person, We asked for the second person shampoo and shower jell twice over 1 hour but no one showed up We had to ask for the room temporarily slippers because it did not have any Employees do not know if hotel provides cotton to their guests (shocking) The room balcony furniture was not clean enough for use The room next to us had ordered room service and food tray was at the door from last night up until we checked out And when we checked out no one asked about how was our experience in the hotel Also my husband called them before we went and asked if we could use NSW stay vouchers and they said yes on phone but when we arrived there they requested us to remove breakfast from our booking so we can use the vouchers which costed us only 20 dollars difference on original price but it is more about the clarity of the things Also the open buffet for Breakfast was good but not great really.

The GOOD Location - Very close to the beach. If you really love beach and going for a walk on the beach this would be the perfect location. Staff - Every staff member went a long way to make our trip comfortable. Especially the cleaning staff and the restaurant staff. Very courteous. Views - We had the city view but we could see a glimpse of the ocean from our room and it was beautiful! Rooms - Tidy and well kept. Even though the rooms and carpets are bit old but they are in really good condition. Kudos to the cleaning staff! The BAD Breakfast buffet- Almost same menu for all 3 days. A bit of change would have been good. Mattresses- I feel they were worn out or were super soft which we were not used to. Overall I would definitely recommend it as the good definitely outweighs the bad.

This is a great quality hotel and I would highly recommend it. A great location on the beach too. However, be mindful of reading fine text and be aware of additional charges that I personally think are somewhat excessive. Do your full research first and look for deals or negotiate. Breakfast is way too overpriced for the selection they offer, so consider heaving breakfast elsewhere in town (many great choices) which would give you a better value, quality, and health choices (unless of course, breakfast is included in your room rate to begin with). Parking cost in the basement ($25 per day) is extremely expensive (a real ripoff) in my opinion. This is something that they could easily be providing their guests for free. So consider parking somewhere in town if you want to save even if it means a short walk. Gym could be better - they have plenty of room there but no weights at all, only the machines- crosstrainers, treadmill and the bike so if you train with weights and want to continue exercising during your stay, look for other options in town.
