A nice hotel, but the current demolition building works next door are a major inconvenience. The hotel staff were pleasant and the food offerings were good. The only other comment I would make is with regard to the farmed picture in our room - it was awful and should be removed as soon as!

To be honest rating this hotel 1 star is me being generous. I travelled from West Yorkshire which was a 3 hour drive for my birthday, thinking I’d have a great time In Glasgow however outside the hotel a taxi ran over my friend. Police arrived and took us to our room. The staff at the hotel were absolutely rude. They invaded my room numerous times whilst we was asleep. I was naked in my bed and I had staff members swearing at me. They told me they didn’t care about me and they only care about other residents. I felt like I was a victim of racism. I was accused of smoking in my room which was a false accusation as I kept leaving my room to go outside to smoke. On top of it all I was then charged an extra £100 fine for all the noise we made which is a load of rubbish because my friend was ran over and I was really upset and shocked, how else was I supposed to react? Quiet? Now I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone and wouldn’t want anyone to go through the experience I did especially on my birthday, absolutely ridiculous.

Hotel pillows have biro on them. Rooms are dated. However - Check in staff, great! General arrival and check-in great. Bar and catering staff Damn rude! Tried to ask a "member of the catering team" when food orders ended. He shouted "my colleague will be with you in a minute" before I'd managed to compete excuse me sir... Nobody appeared as I stood waiting for 6 minutes 40 seconds. Bloody rude. Where is customer service and general politeness these days!!! I don't want to sound an expert. But I've stayed in hotels generally every weekend for the last 7 years. Plus most weekdays. And never have I witnessed such (busy/obnoxious/rude) staff at such a quiet hour. 1am.

Rooms are good but their food is worst. I just couldn’t eat the salty food they served to me, had to return and order again. A day before this happened, I tried noodles, prolly the worst noodles I ever tried in my entire life. Breakfasts are OK though. Staff are super friendly, bar is OK. Edit: made another visit this week. Thus time food is ok. Their bathroom sink has drain problems. Water never drained properly.

What a lovely hotel. Staff are extremely friendly (the only hotel staff to let me and my friend stay). Room cards are wooden which is a nice touch I kept a few they where so nice. Very sturdy light bulbs. Was excellent location for my new construction job. Only real complaint is glasses where not shatterproof. Will definitely be back.....probably around the 4th of December

Were to start? Booked it because it had a car park. Got to the gate to be told it was full and I had to park at charring cross. If I'd have known I would have just booked in at the hotel at charring cross. Then I book in to be asked to pay. 'its through the company I said". No we have nothing. So I pay and then find out they did have my companies details including the card for payments. So now have to wait however long to get my money back. Walls are paper thin, light switches in odd places so ones near door light lamps at rear of room etc. The bath was bizarre as there is a glass screen meaning you can't actually reach the bath tap and plug without almost falling in it. I was going to give it three stars but the more I think about it the less it deserves

Wonderful friendly service. The food is wonderful with such flavors and the lamb shank was so tender, it just melts in your mouth. The manager went out of her way to fix a problem with my reservation and I have been enjoying myself since then. Plenty of UBER drivers near by as well.

I have stayed in many Novotel hotels In India and Europe but this one was clearly sub Novotel standard. Location is really good. Central heating is literally junk. Gave us an additional small heater. Toilet and Bathroom are separate. Toilets don't have washbasin to wash hands after the process which is a bit unhygenic and no central heating in the toilet- which becomes uncomfortable during cold days. House keeping, restaurant takes ages to answer calls and another few ages to fulfil the request. Plus they charge £3 per room service (which is more like a economy hotel). If I have an option I would avoid Novotel Glasgow next time.
