I contacted Randy Barber as I have been experiencing neck and back spasms for 9 years. The treatment I recurved has been outstanding, I am happy to say that my neck and back are better pain wise than they have been for 9 years. Thank you Randy!

Having struggled with neck and lower back pain for a while and had many physio appointments I felt I had hit a wall. I had a brief experience of the Bowen technique in New Zealand whilst on holiday and so decided to contact Randy on the back of that and I wish I had done so sooner. My appointments have been incredibly positive for me and the improvements I have felt with regard to my neck, back and general well being have been excellent. Randy is incredibly professional and he has a remarkable knowledge of anatomy. I would absolutely not hesitate to recommend him and have in fact have already done so to several friends.

I am now in my 70's and am active, in some cases perhaps too active. I had my first meeting with Randy over 6 years ago. Having previously seen doctors at probably the best heart and lung hospital in the East Midlands 3 months earlier for intense spasmodic chest pains. Although experts in their field they had limited knowledge of our muscular system and gave me paracetamol and sent me away. I had been desperate to find someone to give me some relief and eventually found Randy as I was intrigued to try Bowen Therapy. On my first visit to Randy he listened to my story and then showed me on his wall charts what he thought the problem might be. With a very gentle muscle manipulation he released one that was pulling my diaphragm and it was as if he had pressed a switch. Quite amazing, I walked away that day pain free. I have kept in touch with Randy over the years as I am often tweaking muscles usually through gardening related strains. 2 Years ago I had a frozen shoulder. The NHS say nothing much you can do and could take up to 1.5 to 2 years even 5 to cure. Randy gave me two sessions that were quite intense. The first session allowed my arm to move by 30 degrees. The second 2 weeks later sorted it. I have just been to see Randy again as I had shoulder and lower back ache, not been sleeping properly, waking with a headache and very stiff neck. One session with Randy who did a lot of gentle manipulation to lower back and shoulder concluded with him putting my head back in the correct position. Result. great night's sleep and no headache. I can't thank him enough for his time over the years. Don't waver, please try him if you have any sort of muscular or skeletal problems. GP's can't be expected to have his specific knowledge or training in this subject. I cannot recommend him highly enough

From Clifford Abraham On numerous occasions over the past 4 -5 years I have put my back out or suffered other muscular skeletal injuries, i am sometimes bent over in pain or present with ciatica on every visit when I leave I walk out upright and back on the road. Over the years since I first put my back out in 1981 I have used austiopaths and chiropractors but find Bowen Therapy by far the better treatment for me and Randy Barbour is by far the best practitioner of Bowen that I have met, he also teaches Bowen. It is a relaxing whole body treatment and by far the least painful treatment and my back stays in far longer meaning I can lead a normal life. Randy also gives you stretching exercises to do should you feel your back going again and they work sometimes after 5 or 6 months my symptoms may recur I simply do the exercises and normally the symptoms decrease or disappear altogether. I would say on average I need an appointment once a year and it is the best £40 you will ever spend. Randy thank you for keeping me fit and healthy, you are a legend. Cliff Abraham

I have found excellent and flexible treatments each time I have used Randy's service. His careful diagnosis of my historical issues following my motorbike accident included a holistic analysis and using a wide range techniques which has released my painful symptoms over a period of months . I have returned with sports injuries and also followed his region of useful exercises between treatments for the past ten years. I highly recommend his practice which is friendly and caring.
