Northampton General Hospital: Accident and Emergency Department northampton

Attended A&E for an injured leg and was overwhelmed at how well I was looked after. The staff were friendly and the doctor I saw really went above and beyond to help me, she was extremely thorough and ensured the necessary referrals were made. The waiting time is obviously high, but they are treating so many people it is understandable, so this cannot be looked at negatively.

Horrible place.!Waiting to consult with doctor up to 20 hours...This place is more like motel than Hospital.

It’s too horrible, got A&E at 4:10am been told see doctor after 4hours, waiting until 8am , didn’t do any treatment! Then told me wait another 2hours! Been throw up 15times, the nurser told me they depend who is more important! Racism, because am chinese!

Fantastic staff. In and out within 50 minutes. Can't fault them. Efficient and friendly.

If you want to sit somewhere doing nothing waiting for nothing for 8hrs + come here as that's what's here for you!.

I broke my toe. While a medical worker was trying to put some tape on it she squeezed my toe too harsh and I shouted because of pain. She started to embarrass me with the words "Don't shout, how pathetic is...!"

Nice and helpful staff, got the care I needed. Though more can be done on being clearer on what's happing regarding my care etc. and where I should go after (though I am Autistic so I'm not sure if other Autistic people or non-Autistic have found this), no clear precise instructions and didn't help me find where I needed to go after. Autism education (and disability training overall) is so needed for people working in the NHS (though they were lovely and great otherwise, and I have a deep respect for NHS and for most who work in the NHS).
