Cannot recommend this salon enough. Phoned looking for a last minute appointment to help fix a botched balayage I got at another salon. Nick was so helpful, friendly and accommodating. My issues were resolved quickly by talented stylist (didn't catch her name). I will definitely be back. Thanks NOIRouge!

I was in Edinburgh for one day only (on a Sunday) and when I enquired about having my hair coloured (the day before arriving) Nick responded instantly to me. There was a cancellation so I was able to go in and have my hair done. Mark coloured my hair, I really trusted him, he listened to everything I said and was very professional (I'd had a disaster hair cut just the week before in Dublin and didn't even mention it because I felt so comfortable). The color is exactly what I wanted, I have dark brown hair and he beach'd it up for me to perfection. 100% recommended. Thank you Mark & Nick :)

Mark did my hair at Torphichen place a few days ago and I absolutely love it! He took plenty of time to work out exactly what I wanted and then executed it perfectly. Such a fun, relaxing experience, would definitely recommend!

From the moment I inquired about having my hair coloured to when I walked out of Noir Rouge, I was made to feel welcome. Charlie is knowledgeable and has a terrific eye to what will look good and suit your skin tone. He managed to transform my hair back to its original colour explaining what he had in mind. He was courteous, professional and the end result looks great! Definitely worth a visit!

I had my hair cut and blow dried yesterday for £55 and had the best time with Mark! I was in desperate need of a haircut after about 6 months without one and Mark managed to take out the dead weight without taking much off the length which was great. Had a great chinwag with him and he let me play the Christmas tunes that I wanted and to top it off, the blow dry he gave me made me feel like a celebrity! I have wavy/curly hair and normally hate having my hair blow dried but I couldn't believe how gorg he made my hair look! Lastly, he didn't try to sell me expensive hair products which as a student I really appreciated. Having my hair cut there felt like self care and I'll definitely be back :)

Outstanding and highly recommended! Mark (Torphichen salon) gave me the best haircut of my life (and I've been around a while). I feel transformed! I recently moved to Edinburgh and was nervous about finding a good hair stylist. I am so glad I found this place. He also offered great advice (I have difficult hair) and was down to earth with good chat, not fake or pretentious, and the salon is lovely - comfortable and clean. Great experience and I won't go anywhere else!
