After 2+ years of on and off arm elbow, wrist and general arm nerve pain I got in for a thorough assessment by Dr Boyke. He went through many physical tests and illuminated some areas of pain where as many normal GP doctors was recommending to treat. (Tennis elbow, carpal tunnel, cubital tunnel, pinched nerves in the elbow etc) After some xrays I was diagnosed with a postural related rsi of the left pec minor which seems to be compressing a bunch of nerves from oversue and slouching the left shoulder. I look forward to working with their recommend physio to treat this condition and have already noticed a small difference in a week from some basic stretches of the area. Would Certainly recommend this practice to anyone suffering any uncommon and hard to diagnose injury.

I injured my knee playing soccer and went to numerous physios and doctors but none of which could provide me with an accurate diagnosis of why I was getting pain or potential treatment options. A friend of mine told me about a sports physician Dr Cairns that I should go see and it was the best decision I have ever made! Dr Cairns after only one consultation was able to methodically and accurately diagnose the problem and provide treatment for my knee which a week later was feeling great and a few weeks after that I was back playing soccer. I would highly recommend Dr Cairns to anyone as he was very professional and passionate in helping me achieve my goal of playing soccer again as quickly as possible.

I highly recommend this practice for all of their services. I've needed to attend appointments for both myself and my children, and the service is always 5 stars, from the ladies on reception, through to the treating specialists. All of my questions are answered and the 'bedside' manner of each individual is always friendly and informed.

Couldn’t recommend Dr Cairns & the rest of the staff at Newcastle sports medicine enough. All staff are pleasant and welcoming. I was treated here after fracturing my knee and dr cairns had me easing back into exercise appropriately after a number of necessary tests and rest. Always a pleasure to visit the practice.

High regards for Dr Cairns and his team! I recently saw Dr Cairns regarding a chronic hip condition. A very thorough consultation and examination was followed by X-rays ( just around the corner) and the diagnosis was confirmed. Physio (thanks, Tim) was commenced within 24 hours and a treatment plan was implemented. My hip already feels stronger and less painful. The only regret I have, I should have attended to Newcastle Sports Medicine already much earlier which would have brought me onto the road of recovery already weeks or months earlier. Thank you.
