Amazing experience at Queens Square under the care of Mr Ahmed Toma. The whole experience could not be faulted and I am so blessed to have been sent there for my procedures. Staff at all levels are professional, helpful and genuinely care for their patients and their wellbeing. Staff really friendly. One physio I had was so understanding and did his best to help me. He found some things out for me to try and do when I am okay. He made me feel so relaxed. Going to miss him. He recently got married. Hope they will be happy

If you end up at the National the bad news is obvious - you either have, or may have, a serious condition. The good news is that this is a true centre of excellence with staff who are second to none. World class. I've been visiting it for over 15 years and I have never been disappointed

I was sent to the NHNN as an A&E stroke patient, which then required decompression surgery. I found the surgeons and staff assisting me really good and took care explaining everything to me. On the other hand I found the care I received in the wards not very nice. I had to buzz to remind people to take my meds, which were always late, resulting in pain, sometimes my healing process went backwards because of this. I had to change my own bed sheets, while I was very unsteady on my feet following a stroke. I could not sleep due to people starting the clean up (with lights on full) after 10pm when the visitors left. Some of the staff looked so young, too young to be left with high dependent patients I have been waiting since April for my follow up appointment which keeps being pushed back by the hospital. I have not had any tests to find out the cause of my stroke and no one came back to me to assist. NHNN's after care needs to be worked on. If you cant help patients, then refer them to somewhere where they can be helped. No one likes living with their life on hold. The only reason they have been given 2 starts is due to the good work the surgeons and doctors gave.

Simply one of the best places in the world for treating brain conditions. They saved a family member's life on two occasions. The staff are all so clearly proud to work in the hospital, they were all endlessly compassionate and kind. The clinicians are world class. If a loved one is in there, they are in the best hands they could possibly be in.

There very good waiting room was not busy, staff was friendly and the neurologist that see me was very friendly and helpful...

I am a long time patient going back to 1987. The hospital has improved during the time. The use of IT is commendable.

To say the service and communication was dispicable would be a understatement. My father was admitted after having a mild stroke apparently. Not once during his week long stay did the hospital think about contacting his concerned family. When you could finally get through on the phone it took my brother 10 minutes to get the receptionist to understand how to spell Russell. After explaining to the receptionist my father couldn't speak she suggested my father could phone us and explain his care plan!!! Finally he was transferred to another hospital without anyone informing us or thinking of giving us any information. As yet I an my family are still in the dark, still don't know who to contact or even what ward he's on at the new hospital. He went in with a mild stroke with issues with speech and balance, now he is hallucinating, can't eat or urinate, loosing weight none of which were ever an issue before he was admitted to this place. Its not a hospital rather resembles a dodgy back street garage. My heart goes out to anyone who ever has to attend this place.

I was there for two weeks, the surgeon, doctors, nurses health care assistant and everyone who work there are just brilliant and God bless them all.
