MYA Cosmetic Surgery manchester

Good experience until day of my surgery where they had me waiting for 4 hours before they cancelled the procedure. I had been going to consultations with MYA since Jan 2019 and made them aware of my medical history. A very long story cut short, after telling me time after time they were happy to continue despite having a blood condition, it got to the day of surgery (7th June 2019) when they then cancelled and sent me away with not even an apology from the surgeon. The whole process left me distraught and angry. I would defiantly NOT recommend MYA, if you want proper care and medical attention they definitely are not the company for you.

After spending thousands of pounds with this awful, unethical company I expected a little more than a bodged job, a lashing of verbal abuse from my surgeon, constant stalling, and countless amounts of posts and pictures removed from the forum. The 'open & honest forum' was one of the main reasons I chose MYA as none of the other providers had this. What I didn't know at the time is that it's far from honest as anybody having problems after surgery, or ending up with horrendous results are gagged, ignored and simply cannot post about their experience. Aftercare is non existent when it is really needed as is the companys complaints procedure. That's when the hell really begins and unfortunately I am not the only case. This is not just the only company with a forum but they are the only cosmetic surgery company to have a group solely for their victims! (MYA Cosmetic Surgery Justice) Avoid avoid avoid!

Absolutely amazing girls that work here. Easy to get to as it is very central and plenty of places to park around the area! I would highly recommend MYA as a company and this clinic, all my questions were answered in full and they were extremely patient with me and the amount of questions I had! A++++ experience!

I had my BA last year with MYA, all my consultations were at Manchester and I can honestly say my PC was amazing. She was there for me whenever I needed to ask questions about my surgery or recovery and even my mum commented on how well MYA looked after me. I would highly recommend them because not only are my results exactly what I asked for but I didn't feel like a number to them!

I am so happy with my experience with Mya, someone was always on hand to talk to right from the start and still now, any worries questions or queries I had were resolved the same day. I can’t thank Mya enough for the confidence I have gained since having my surgery.

Only after your money. Tons of hidden costs and the procedure gets cancelled three days before. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Outstanding service.

I had a surgery with Mya in 2019 with no problems, everyone was very supportive, friendly and efficient. Something must have drastically changed in that time. Do not bother going here if you have a permanent mental health condition, they unrealistically advise you to come back when your condition has gone away. They strung me along for several weeks then cancelled my consultation at the last minute. They advise they couldn’t call me sooner because they didn’t understand how to use Sky Talk Shield! They have a very poor understanding of mental health and handled the situation will little regard for the impact their actions have caused. Left feeling embarrassed and discriminated by their blanket policy. I would recommend you go elsewhere. I’ve spoken with several other clinics in Manchester and they will accept patients with mental health and are happy to work with your psychiatrist unlike Mya, who wouldn’t even entertain my psychiatrist’s letter of support.

The only good thing about Mya is the patient coordinator who you contact on a regular basis, apart from that my experience was awful. They are after ONE thing only and that’s your money. So, first of all, I had my consultation date two weeks ago, I turned up at 3 o’clock at the address I was provided with, I was waiting outside for 20 minutes (due to Covid), I text to let them know I was here and I rang 3 times whilst waiting outside until someone finally rang me back, when I got a call back I was informed that they had a new entrance to the building and I had in fact been stood at the old entrance for a full 20 minutes in the middle of November whilst it was raining. Finally, when I got in to see my surgeon, he was nothing but rude. With the nurse stating ‘we’re all use to him now’. My opt date was booked in for the 3rd of December 2020, I received a call from Mya offering to move my surgery date forward to the 18th of November, so I excepted, 2 days after the initial call I rang Mya to inform them that due to personal issues I could no longer do the 18th and wished to have my original date back of the 2nd of December, the woman said she would see what she can do and ring me back. The following day, I hadn’t received a call so I rang back, the woman then told me to think about it for a bit longer and call back. So the following day after this, I called back, still wishing to change my surgery date. The woman informed me that it wouldn’t be possible to change my date anymore as it was ‘to close’ to my operation date (9 days) despite me attempting to cancel a few days prior to this. The woman then informed me that I wouldn’t be able to get a date until January (which was fine) however, I can only reschedule if I pay another £1000 on top of the £750 deposit I already put down, understandably take my £750 deposit, that’s what deposits are for, but to try and charge me another £1000 to reschedule my appointment ON TOP of the £6,500 for my uplift as well as my £750 deposit, this place is an absolute joke, read the reviews before booking, I know I wish I did. There all about the money, nothing more.
