Hadn't been for a few years so decided to visit with my husband. Tried to book a table beforehand online, a week went by so I called and said I'd tried to make a reservation but hadn't heard back. I was told gruffly that it's walk-in only which is why I'd not had confirmation. Not sure why the reservation tool is on the site then?
Secondly, the menu was considerably cut down compared to the online one. It was a fairly limited menu.
We waited absolutely ages for our main - the waiter brought us warm plates which had been cold for some time when the dishes finally arrived. We were told as the meal was brought to the table that it was because of takeaways. That's fine, but we weren't told at any point during the waiting time that this was the case, or any apology for the wait. We'd arrived in good time to make it to the theatre afterwards but had to cut our meal short (I'd have had dessert) if they hadn't been so slow. A table next to us started putting on their coats to leave because they took so long bringing the bill.
The food was OK but not worth waiting for - both of our curries were absolutely swimming in ghee. The only thing of merit was the plum chutney that came with the poppadoms.
Won't be returning, will stick to Aagrah.
