Good service area.

We were driving home from Bridlington to Edinburgh and noticed the sign saying services so pulled if as my partner is disabled and was needing to use the toilet and was in need of breakfast. We pulled in and noticed that the McDonald’s was extremely busy and the car park was full we were pulling a caravan so could not pull onto McDonald’s car park we decided to stop outside opposite on the road my partner walked across the road used the toilets while he ordered two breakfasts plus coffee he came back and we drove off it took no more than 10 minutes. Less than a week later we have received a parking fine from UKCPS for £60 we did not park in any car park their was no signage not to park on the road side I am furious as their is no email it says pay or 14 days it £100 and they say they will not give up this is extortion . This is a motorway service that dose not have any signage for clear places you can park a large vehicle so you can eat I do not recommend using this service station it’s not worth the hassle it’s a very expensive burger
