we walked in and asked if they had a table for two, even though it was full we got a perfect table upstairs in the restaurant. Ordered our drinks and food and didn’t have to wait long for our starter. The ambiance is amazing and the restaurant looks beautiful. I love how the chairs don’t match but still look good together. The food was delicious, especially the sea bass, good flavours and it all goes perfectly well together. Would for sure go back here and recommend it to everyone who is going to Glasgow!

Simply the best ever Indian food I've ever had (Fine, I haven't been to India and am not an expert in the matter). The tastes are complex and subtle, the textures lovely (the tenderest goat ever! and those veggies!): I'm not sure how to describe how divine the food was. (Foodgasm?...) Anyway... I'm still in awe. Now, the room is a bit crowded and thus noisy, the service a bit patchy (I think one of the lads was new and learning the trade), but who cares? The food, man, the food! To die for! And when you consider the cost (full meal for two people, with a bottle of wine, for under 100 quid), I'd go back in a heartbeat. Please note that the portions are individual and are not made to share. They are also much too generous: we overate.

I went on a Monday night with my partner and her two sons. We were on the first floor and had reserved a table. The place was recommended by the taxi driver bringing us to our hotel from the airport. The menu was fascinating. Many different dishes were described clearly. Not too expensive. And the food was delicious, with great portions. I did check other reviews and I can say they service during our visit was perfectly attentive and kind. The decor was great. Very “non Indian restaurant” style. We were in hurried. And there was plenty of room around our table. We will definitely go back.

Always fresh. Always flavoursome. Never disappoints. Mother India is definitely one of the best traditional Indian restaurants in Glasgow. Their butter chicken is a work of art and everything that accompanies it is so we'll put together.

Fantastic Indian curry and more dining experience. Beautiful space. Somewhat formal for children. Spicing is fabulous and though ask if your kids are sensitive to spice levels. Might be a bit strong for them if they haven’t yet developed a taste but oh dear, delicious if you love full, robust flavour!

Food lovely. Staff very accommodating, pleasant and knowledgeable. One of our group wasn't able to access the stairs to the main restaurant for our booking, so a makeshift area was swiftly set up for us downstairs. I think we stayed longer than we should have really, but our main waiter/staff person never made it known: was always pleasant. Looking forward to a return visit.

Incredibly good food at a really good price! The chef and kitchen staff must be very talented and dedicated, as the food always has that extra something that puts this place way above other Indian restaurants in Glasgow. Can't comment on the floor staff as I've only ever ordered in, but if the kitchen staff is anything to go by then they'll be great too. Shout out to the chefs and kitchen porters. Brilliant. Lovely touch of adding in the chickpea curry for free. Really helps make it worth it.
