Midsummer Common cambridge

Great open space to enjoy near the river and watching the rowing boats. Also great place to meet up with friends have a few drinks. We also went to the fair

Nice open space to walk your dogs also a place where the children can play. I love looking at the river Thames.

It's a large green space in Cambridge. Big events are often held here but the location itself is just a field and rather indifferently maintained. So, when there's an event here, add a star or two, but really, this is a place you walk through rather than stop and enjoy.

Relaxing to walk and watch people and nature. Surrounded by all Cambridge lovely buildings. Tranquil and peaceful.

Wonderful place to spend the day, have a picnic, do exercise or just enjoy the sun. The river banks offers a nice view to relax with the swans and ducks in all their beauty.

Lovely open space with grass, trees and the river Cam. What more could you want to walk a dog? It's not overrun with litter although I do pick up rubbish every time I'm there. There's also the Fort St George right on the river for a drink and a bite, or cross the footbridge and you can try the Old Spring.

Love Cambridge market, Chris Carter for veg, the wonderful cheese stall next to Chris on Friday & Saturday. Book stalls, flowers & plants, fossils, clothes, all fantastic.

Nice place to visit and unusual as there are free roaming cattle on the common that can get up very close and personal. Cambridge University rowing clubs are on the opposite bank of the river and you can stand and watch the training sessions if that's your thing or you are from Oxford. Well connected to cycle paths and walk ways and a pleasant riverside walk.

Common ground so cattle graze certain times of the year. Next to the river... and opposite all rowing club houses. A good watch for rowers. Wildlife in the city centre, even if it is just a little. Host to Strawberry Fair and mid summer Fair.

A patch of countryside in the heart of the city. The grass grows long, kept in check only by the herd of friendly bullocks that graze there. The common adjoins the river, providing lovely views of waterfowl, boathouses and rowers. Beware the bicycles!
